Can any recommend a good PT in NYC? I want to get a sleeve for flying and read a few threads that suggests I visit a PT that specializes in BC patients first.

Some of the women here go to Sloan Kettering. It would be a lymphedema therapist, and on the stepupspeakout site there is information on how to find a qualified therapist.

There is debate if "at risk" women need to wear sleeves for flying: at the very least, drink a lot of fluids, elevate your arm, pump your fist and no tight clothes and let someone else heft the heavy bags.

My understanding is that Memorial Sloan Kettering therapists (OT, PT and LE) only take patients who are referred by MSK doctors.  If you don't need a LE therapist who is a PT or OT, Mary Reed is a LANA certified LMT/CLT in NYC.  Because she isn't an OT/PT, most insurance won't reimburse, but she's a lot less expensive than an OT or PT LE therapist.  Here's her contact info:  Mary Read Lymphedema Treatment, 19 E 71 (@Madison Ave), New York, NY. Tel: 212-396-2350.  KS1
