INFORMAL SURVEY
Hi Ladies
I wonder if you would mind answering:
For ER PR + , if you could pick only 1-2 alts and had no access to RX, which would you choose and why ?
THX!

DIM and Calcium D Glucarate, because both bind the "bad" estrogren and leave the good alone. At lest that's what I remember from my discussion with the complementary medicine specialisit at MSK.
-
I have just ordered Indole 3 Carbinol because, at levels higher than 200 mg per day, it supposedly inhibits angiogenesis and encourages apoptosis of breast cancer cells. I am also taking 4,000 IUs of Vitamin D per day in an effort to boost my levels from 18 at diagnosis to at least 80. Hopefully others will post..thanks for the interesting opportunity to see varying protocols!
-
I take an Indole Complex that has DIM, Indole 3, and Calcium D Glucarate in it. I also take Maitake Gold, which has several different mushrooms in it, including Reishi, Maitake, and Turkey Tail. I also take Tamox, however.

Thanks, ladies!
Yes, I would love to see more responses. -
That's tough. If I could only pick two, vita d and green tea. If I could have three tumeric, , 4- mushrooms, 5- citrus pectin, 6- IP6, 7-black berry seed powder. 8- iodine, 9- sun warrior protein powder, 10 vita mineral green. I take about 10 others too but those are the top 10.

wow lightandwind!
That is quite a list.Thx
-
Purple,
I would never pick just two. Each of my supplements has a very specific mechanism of action that has been widely studied. I can see the effort to cut down on certain supplements if money is an issue in which case you would want to delete the one that seems to have the least bang for the buck.
You probably need to survey a group which has a number of long term, research-oriented survivors. They might be able to assess value better.

Natty
This is a very informal survey.... sure, I would actually love to survery a group of 20 yr survivors who did NOTHING but ALTs ,...but I cant do that .
Its not about money- I guess I am asking ppl what their top 2 supplements are .

Vit D3 + tumeric
(my naturopath has had me on these since December -- and the more I read the more I try not to miss a day -- however I've only just begun researching natural estrogen inhibitors and the like...)
-
Hi Shera
These are not natural estrogen inhibitors are they ?!! -
1. bioidentical hormone cream: (progesterone, estriol, estridiol)
2. Selenium, D, melatonin, and vary up on anti-free-rad substances, am currently using lycopene.
