I was told during my first bout with  cancer they found spots on my liver. They did one or two more CT scans and saw the same spots. They didn't change neither were the waving at us. I told them that my liver was fine and I stopped having them check it. They tried to scare me by saying that they would have to do a liver biopsy. Again I said no. A lot of people have them and you don't know you have them until you get a scan. Most of the time they are nothing. I read somewhere that they are like birthmarks.

My PS office called and he wants me to come in. I wasn't home so my DH set up the appointment. I wasn't supposed to see him again unless I started having problems with the breast. I can't wait for Monday to find out why. I am nervous enough about seeing the oncologist tomorrow. I'm trying to get in touch with the office to find out why. I  just love stress (not)!

Update: The PS wants to double check the left breast. Its been bothering him since I last saw him. If the breast isn't doing good then he will want to operate and fix it. I'll  probably have a latissimus dorsi flap. That will delay chemo once again. Can I please get off the cancer rollercoaster ride now?

((( Veggy))). I feel your frustration!!!

Well they are letting me go home from rehab tomorrow... I will continue to exercise and heal. When I am healed I will come back here again for phase 2 which is to get a prosthesis and learn how to walk with it... There is a lot of work that goes along with it too...

    Veggy((HUGS)))))))))

Crog----to sleep in your own bed AHHHHHH. Take up all the throw rugs. Get a homehealth referral, sorry I dropped the ball. Hopefully the Social Worker didn't. You should have a nurse, physical therapist, occupational therapist and homehealth aide. The Ot and Pt are not a duplicate of what was happening in rehab. They will evaluate the home setting and make recommendations and therapy -to ensure you continue developing independent skills etc. This home safety evalluation is being done in allot of places prior to discharge. Safe for the patient---and helps to prevent readmissions due to accidents that are preventable.

Mama thought about your problem with the brainless chickiepoo. Talk with doc---she needs a teaching moment.

Fuzzy sorry I was to self absorbed on wine the other night. Doing okay?

SAS. I am home and hope I sleep real good in my bed... I have home health services coming. Visiting Nurse will come everyday to change the bandage etc. I will have OTand PT coming in too. Not sure what home health aide does? I also have exercises from rehab that I have to keep doing.

Crog Homehealth aide--hha can help with bathing--bed/bath/shower, hairwashing &fixing, teeth/mouthcare, making bed/ changing linens, making light meals i.e sandwiches, some agencies allow store runs, cleaning around your space. Can't think of anything else, but recommend you ask for one. It allows you to remain independent of your family for personal care.  Good luck my friend and be careful L&H's sassy

Thanks SAS.... Oh ok. I know the OT will help with showers but my husband will be here to make sure I get in and out safely of the shower. He is retired so he does the cooking, laundry, etc. he has done this since when I was diagnosed with B/C... I had gotten back to doing some of the things so he wouldn't have to do it all and now we are back to where we were a year and a half ago!!! Luckily he does not mind doing these things. The only thing he does not like doing is grocery shopping..... I will be careful and as safe as I can be.....

There is too much crap that needs to be done in this house. Grumpety grump grump. I have been slowly spackling the kitchen walls, where removing the wallpaper also removed some of the drywall. Also there are cracks in various places that need to be attended to. So, I did some and then decided to sand that part down. What a mess! And all that dust cannot be good for the birds. So I stopped that and vacuumed it up as best I could. Then I went out and bought a wet sanding sponge. In the meantime I took the curtains down and started caulking holes where previous brackets and such had been attached. In the process I noticed that the vinyl/metal trim or whatever it is was really looking crappy and very dirty. I tried scrubbing it, but it became apparent it needed painting. So I taped around where I didn't want the paint to go and then I spray painted a nice bright white on that trim. It looks nice but the odor caused me to be very concerned about the birds. I did move them out of the kitchen, but still the smell was strong in the other room. So I had to cover them up and open up windows and doors. It's a little chilly out there but not so bad as to cause the heat to come on. Hopefully I did not hurt the birds.

Tomorrow I will wash the windows and put the curtain back up. Any further sanding will be done with the wet sander -- except for that crack that I used caulk in. However, that should not produce much dust. I bought a can of ceiling paint, so I will be ready to roll with that when I finish the spackling. Then I need to go to a specialty paint store where they can add a mold inhibitor to the paint. That will just be a coat of white. I'm still deciding on color, but I need to lose this slum look.

Well, that was my day. I took a nap and now I am back in bed hoping to be able to sleep. I took 2 xanax earlier to be able to nap. That was around 5 pm to 7:30 pm. Now I should not take xanax, but damnit, I want to sleep. I have been in a pretty icky mood today. I don't want to continue it throughout the night. Know what I mean?

Crog, OCD me b/c others are reading. The OT function with the showering is to watch and teach. They are diligent about getting people to be safely independent. Check with you Social Worker (oops, you need a SW referral ask the nurse to get the order). The SW function in the Homehealth setting(HH) is to help define as many resources as possible that you are eligible for. This is a huge opportunity if you haven't used them before. You might be quite surprised whats out there that the SW knows is available and none of the other disciplines know. Could even be someone to do the grocery shopping LOL. Have her review also if there is any finacial assistance. It's through our SW that we found out about the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and a foundation that only covered two counties, that helped with bills other than medical ------It was a substancial amount of money between the two --Think substancial Big. Crog I'm so OCD, I make myself crazy. This is big. Your nurse needs to teach you and Dh how to do a skin assessment from head to toe, this should be done daily. You need to be able to do it independently if DH not available.  Skin assessment should be done every two to three hours for your butt and hips if you are sitting allot. Which you will be until you get your prothesis.  What you are evaluating is for "skin integrety"--development of pressure sores. Your nurse can teach you and she should start tomorrow if no one has taught you anything to date. She should also teach you pressure relief methods---positioning that relives pressure on a given area. In the chair and in bed. When the nurse comes tomorrow, she will have allot of paperwork thats required, but skin assessment/positioning /and pressure relief is a must to get some teaching on.  I'm sure once back in bed I'll think of something else. I guess my nursing brain has gone into retirement--Duh I could have suggested this for the nurses in rehab to teach you. I'm hoping youcome back and say they've been teaching you this all along, but if they didn't it must start tomorrow. L&H's sas

What can I say--I threw away my stone last week after looking at it for several minutes. It was prize. Duh

Really hate running in and skipping the four pages I missed this week.  But I will be back a bit this weekend,  been working all week and sleeping betwween bcz got sick.

But no time, waking Hubby to go for breakie and bank. Maybe auction? Home to garden.  Missed you guys, I call this at Fuzzy's Romp Room my support group.  A bunch of conventional and alternatives mulling together, getting through it with open minds, a sense of humor, a sense of giving, an understanding of how to allow people to be where they are in their life and bc crap.  Cool to have you.  I need you.

Sassy - did see you post back there, my dog is not even that big, BearBear was though.  Oh yes, Lacey just loves to groom fur, she used to groom Joseph too, he would sit there nd take it, she would get a pile of fluffy down undercoat and snuggle onto it at the crook of his elbow.  She would scoop it up and take it to her den for Blossom too.  She wants Danny Boy to sit down and take it like a dog, she wants some fluff for winter.  She will not be deterred.  hahaha

    Gotta go!

I love the name Violet for a little skunk too.  If I get another female.  I didn't name Blossom or Lacey, they were rescues and had such cute names.  I renamed all the boys, Gizmo to Jeronimo, called him Baby too.  Pepe to Sage, called him Beautiful Boy.  We did have a Jasmine rescue for a month, called her Jazzy.  And a wildlife rehab kit we called Hot Rod for all his stomping and spinning, he was so cute.

Yes, Flower was from Bambi, the most common skunkie name.  I don't like it, I like Violet, Jasmine, Sunny, I called Blossom Honey Bunny bcz she bounced all over the place.  Lacey Girl is Princess, she does a low waddle and she isn't fat.

She walks and looks just like Jeronimo did but she is a little girl skunk. Here's a pic of Jeronimo I published in a story I did on them yesterday morning. The story is in link if you want to read the list of why not to sleep w pet skunks.  Wasn't he just lovely?  We only have our Lacey now, and Danny Boy.

Essa, Once as young ones walking in the backwood, Greg saw something moving and decided to chase it. I caught a white strip by the moonlight and  yelled "stop" He did--then it came into full moonlight--a skunk. A lesson grasshopper, all in the night may not be good to follow.

How did you come to bringing skunks into the home? I would love to hear the beginning.

Sassy we were doing wildlife rebab, mostly birds and rabbits.  We found an orphaned kit in field and daughter is more persistent than I ever was so we had a skunk to rehab but they imprint more than any animal, and he got pneumonia which would have reoccurred and killed him so DNR liscensed him to us.... our Sequoia (little giant) which we nicknamed Puha (Hopi for skunk, they considered the skunk the fire carrier) and we also called him Pooh after Winnie cuz he got so plush.   I am a storyteller, so after adding Jeronimo - we adopted all domestic rescues after Pooh - I wrote a book of 33 stories about the first two.  Was the best fun, just pumping out those stories.

Fuzzy, cannot imagine but I feel for you.  So glad you stopped them, so many would just try to belive they are doing the right thing but they just don't tooooooooooooooo friggin often as we are always finding out.  You can poop in the bed, we don't mind.

Hubby just brushed and bathed Danny Boy, I am to do nails, ears and the dry fluffy brush out in evening.  Sundays are for dogs.  Think I will bathe Lacey too but do not tell her.  hehehe  She hates when I take her to sink and dunk her but she loves the warm water.  When we bathed Baby (I think one of longest skunks ever born) we had to wear heavy leather fire burning gloves, he would glare up at us and chew on those gloves but never bit us.  The one we thought would tear us up was Sagie but he loved to be bathed by me, suprised me.

Nancy, is a good day for pet stories, always makes people think what they love / loved best.  Good thoughts.

LOVEEssa - this is Sequoia when he was a baby kit, sleeping in my wool hat.  He also used to sleep inside the fluufy stuffed raccoon puppet.

OH THAT'S SO CUTE!!!!  I seriously love the animal stories so much.

I am going to email my PS and make sure it is understood that I want no more than 10-15ml's at a time.  I'm all doped up again today...went as long as I could without it but...here I am in la la land again.  I would have just taken another beating if it wasn't for the RR...I had no idea that they should go so slowly.  Gr.

I gotta find some cute animal pics...BRB

Nancy...consider him kissed! He's such an attention whore too...he'd take kisses all day long!

I just got up to feed my fish (the ones I brought in from the pond) and I really enjoy watching them. Even those fish have personalities. There's one solid orange one that needs group therapy, one that thinks he owns the place, a pretty one (and you know she knows it)...LOL......HAHAJAAAAAHAAA I'd like to blame this on the narcotics but, I know its all true...I'm a nerd.

    LOL
