Hi ladies,

From reading a lot of posts with fellow TN women, am I right in thinking Vitamin D plays a part in hopefully preventing recurrance or have I picked that up incorrectly? Can you tell me what the link is?

    Hi Mumtobe,

You may find the page on the main Breastcancer.org site about Low Vitamin D Levels as a Risk Factor helpful.

    Hope this helps!

After learning of my TNBC diagnosis and researching, I learned of the potential Vitamin D link, so I decided to get my levels tested.   I also don't eat cheese or drink milk or dairy.  My level was 12 (extremely deficient) - so I'm now on D3 liquid drops.  I like the liquid better than the pills, as I can adjust the dosage,  can add the drops to a variety of drinks, and I feel it is easier for my body to absorb and utilize, especially while it is rebuilding following chemo.  I read that it can take up to 18 months for liver and kidney to fully reach optimum processing levels after chemo, so I'm trying to take it easy on them.  :)
