Cool Lady, your mom is at peace now. She was a lucky lady to have someone who obviously love her as much as you did.
There is no need to hold onto the pain. Her spirit is free and she would want you to move on with your life. You know with her suffering how precious life is, so perhaps living it well to honor her might help you move forward.
Hugs to you sweetheart! -

Cool Lady, my Dad passed away last summer of adenocarcinoma. He was at home, in hospice. Was your Mom in hospice? They always offer grief counseling to family members for the rest of your life. You should look into it because it has helped me and it has helped my mother in such a wonderful way. We've both gotten to the point now where we can tell funny Dad stories and not cry as much.
Also, I recommend a book called Healing After Loss by Martha Whitmore Hickman. Martha lost her 16 year old daughter in a riding accident and it was a sudden, awful shock. Her book has daily meditations that she wrote over her years of grieving and it really speaks to you as you heal.
I'm so sorry for your loss!

Thank you
I know she would want me to move on and im trying. Its just not fair. She and even when she was really sick was the only grandparent of my kids that would always come to my kids school functions if she could.she lived in another state and my kids really do miss her to.She was the only biological parent i had growing up.I can talk about her its just i think about her all the time. She wont be here to see any of her grandkids graduate high school or collage, see them get marrried and have kids of there own.It just sucks that life is unfair to some of us.I know she is a peace but i would like to have her here with me on earth and healthy.I feel a little better know.Sometimes i feel like to hit something no not a person.:O)
When she was dyeing I told her to go since she was in so much pain and i lost it when she did go.My dad(step dad),bro in law and my self were the only ones with her when she passed at home.
Pbrain, To answer your question yes she was on hospice but we didnt have a good experience.

I am so sorry for your loss. My Mom was diagnosed with Stage I in 07. and she got Stage IV this year. She lost her battle on Sept.9. I feel your pain. She was 75 and my best friend. I am having. a hard time especially knowing she can't enjoy my children anymore. I go to a therapist n a support group. Noone knows our pain.Keep thinking of those great memories. I have my Mom's pix throughout my house.
