Count me in for having a great Thursday. They had a fundraiser at school for the art class. Very fun and the weather is absolutely gorgeous. One of those days you remember.

Just wanted to stop by and say hey. So, hey.

Good Morning Girls, Weather here sucks big time. Temps are 40's at best with rain and yesterday you could see snowflakes every once in a while. I think it may get better by Tue. I have had bad pain and swelling and redness in my transplant boob. I think I tore something loose while moving. Dr. thought it was infection. I had a fever one day and my face was red and itchy for 4 days. Now they thought it was infection so put me on massive antibiotics, then thought the red face was alerigic reaction to meds. Well come to find out, the red face was allergies from the air, the fever was a flu and the pain still no idea but I know I pulled something because I felt the pain when I did it. I go to plastics guy Tue. They have sono-ed, x-rayed and taken gallons of blood. I have bought 3 antibiotics for nothing....Hubby home and just looking for some repairs to do. I have 2 leaks in the roof, Yea, it can only happen to me. My side-by frig. won't fit anywhere so I am living out of a cooler until I can get to Springfield and buy a frig. I have no dishwasher so as I see it I am camping. I can't lift with my right arm do to the pain in boob so I am slowly getting things done. I hope to go to Phoenix next month do-or-dye. This Il. weather just sucks!!!! Now I have allergies to put up with. Wheres the SUN????? I better get busy. Happy Mommies Day girls. Nancy, I bet my hubby could fix that water heater so it would never see water again. He almost blew up our house once because I guess they get pressure when you install them and you have to run the water or something to release it, well he didn't know that. He tries so hard, he just has no clue what the hell he is doing. I bet he could help ya get that ranch all "fixed" up. Have a GREAT wk. end girls. Big ol Mommie hugs, Mary

Hi everyone, I'm from July 05 chemo group (although our thread has gone since the major shut down). Just popped in to ask you a favor. As some of you may know, one of your dearest sisiters Shelli's mom posted under her online name on the Recurrence board to let us know that she now has a brain tumor and is having a surgery on Monday. There are a bunch of us who really want to do something that makes her feel better and a dear friend of mine suggested me to send a card to her in the hospital. Her mom posted her hospital's name however we don't have her full name. I know this is a very private thing but could any of you give me it or could any of you kindly send our cards to her for us if you know how to get in touch with her? I could just PM her mom but I don't really think she would recognize it when she's such a newbie. Please PM me if you know how we can help!

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks I just got her last name from one of our dear sisters and another sister gave me her home addy. If you also want to send your card, PM me I'll give you them.

    Happy Mama's day everybody!

I went to my new regular doc yesterday to "get established." I really like her. I asked for an Inderol prescrip bc my tremor is driving me batty. I have to monitor the drug and go back in a month bc it can also lower bp and mine was only 117/78 anyhooo. She said an alcoholic drink sometimes helps as well. Like I said, I liked this lady (who gives me a good reason to drink). Have a great Sunday.

I did not realize until today that Timtam is talking about our June 04 chemo sister Sheliks, the one who started our thread over two years ago. She is having surgery tomorrow.

Happy Mother's Day back at ya, Janie. I like a doctor who recommends booze.

I'm sending some positive thoughts out to Shelliks. You see her in that picutre, so beautiful and with those cute kids.... It's just so heart-rending. I hope the surgery works and she gets beyond this quickly.

...Going to Dillards today to get my face done. Nathan took a pic of me the other day, and it ain't pretty.... Plus, the Survivor finale's tonight. A good Mother's Day, I'd say.

Mary, you have the worst luck sometimes. Hope you're feeling better and that the roof quits leaking and you have fun with the grand kids today.

Renee, Nancy, hope your weather improves!

Happy Mom's Day to all--I didn't get to drive up to see my mom because I still have a wicked cough associated with the daycare bug and I didn't want to give it to her. That would be a crappy present. I just got back from checking my disaster for the day--This time I started a "small" prairie fire "By Accident". I won't go into details, but after trying to stomp it out I realized I wasn't accomplishing anything but melting my running shoes. So I got a bucket out of the back of the pickup and carried water from one of the numerous puddles left over from our last rain. I drowned it!!!!! The dog thought it was great. He kept running around and around the flames and me and barking. SIGH. It's so Green here that I didn't think the prairie would burn, but there's enough dry old grass down in there that I proved that idea wrong pretty fast. My sister and BIL left Oregon this AM headed out to see me. I'm SO excited. They should be here late tomorrow afternoon. I saw my Oncologist Friday--he ran new bone scans on me. I didn't know I could bend my body in so many different angles. It was interesting. Now I'm waiting for even more test results. HMMM. I'm taping Survivor for my sis. She's a Survivor addict. I'm watching Sopranos and Big Love on HBO. I gotta change clothes..I smell like burnt grass!!! Oh, I saw a lamb born today right out behind my house. It is SO cute--white with little black face and legs and little black spots on his or her behind. AHHHH--Life is Good--Smiles--NancyLee

Happy Belated Mother's Day to all of you.
We're back from Texas where we enjoyed sunny warm days walking on the beach and eating great food. (and helping Ry move, clean the apartment, clean the house, do dishes, spend his money, etc...)but had a blast. Now back to reality for a week or so and move the oldest one to Kansas for grad school. Mary, hope you get to Phoenix quick and get out of this dreary rainy weather. Your knees and hands will be happy when there isn't all this moisture.

    Mary,

Done with treatment or just this one? I did like those Benadryl snoozes...but not enough to do it again. I bet you are "worn to the frazzles" after the moving etc.

Hey to everybody. I gotta scoot out to work.

Bravo, Mary! Man, once you get all the moving behind you, and since you've got the Herceptin behind you, you can REALLY start living. I think we should have a virtual party.

I'll bring the drinks. What does everyone want? I'm torn between a really cold Negro Modelo beer and a wine spritzer (hey, it's HOT here. I know red wine is good for you, but when it's 92 degrees...)

My old standby, Taco Salad with sour cream and the green stuff (not going to try to spell it while drinking). Mary, how many have you had already? Or is it you cannot hold your liquor? Or maybe the mixture of liquor and Benadryl and Herceptin? Have some beer nuts. The doggie is going to get stepped on all sprawled out on the floor like that. Better scoop him up. I only have two more kid days at school then I go to a 3 day conference, off for the holiday and then two days post-planning. I have to testify in court on a work matter, and hold 3 days open in June. My first "off" days are filling up fast. Two doc apts, one tooth extraction, 3 court days, where is my vacation going?

    Hi girls,

I'm from the january thread. I finished with 4 AC and 4 Taxol a month ago. Can I join your party?

Seriously, I just wanted to wish you all luck - may you have few side effects. And don't fill up all of your off days. You will need some for resting. Feel free to email me if I can be of help to you.

OK, pardon me, but I've had 3 or maybe 4 delicious cold, mexican beers (for real). Chili rellenos are my favorites! Had a great day. Ran down to Austin to look at flooring (the "green" linoleum I want they don't have here) and had great lunch (saw my brother) and went to a great ice cream place. Came back up here and had steak at friends' house. This is TWO nights I've been out late (for me) and had a great time. Life is very good. I'm so glad we've all gotten to this place. Pass the tequila!

Whew, I've just got the hangover and hot flashes. Maybe a little hair of the dog would help.

Last week of school this week, have a cookout at school at lunch tomorrow, water park tomorrow night, talent show Wednesday morning and then the year's done. And what a weird one it's been. Then I get a lovely 6 days off (except for a few meetings) while Nathan's between school and summer day camp. I believe I'll be indulging a bit then.

So, Mary, what's the moving status? I was out on I-35 yesterday, wondering if I was driving past your husband. (I gave all trucks a wide berth, just in case. )

Janie, is your school year about over?

Yep! Just about. Friday is the last day for the kids and next Wednesday for most of the staff. I have a conference from Wednesday of this week through Saturday, so I basically only have 3 days left, only one with kids. I was in a meeting until six o'clock tonight.

Are those peanuts honey roasted? Another frozen raspberry mango margarita please -- jumbo sized. Is that a dog under the little umbrella?

I can see I have a lot of catching up to do with my Margaritas. It only takes 1 or 2 Margaritas and those hot flashes kick in. Of course, I brought the cheese. What is a party without cheese and crackers?

Renee, I knew we could count on our Wisconsin girl to bring some cheese! And Mary, be sure that poor drunk dog doesn't poke itself in the eye with that umbrella.

Maybe we should take this party on the road? Beach? Mountains? Broadway?

I vote for a mountain cabin with a running brook beside it, under lots of shade trees. I will take my next margarita with salt. May as well raise the blood pressure a little. Hey, that little dog is doing a hat dance!
