please help with Tumor Markers!!!!!!

    They were definitely accurate for me too. Maybe they reduce costs but if I would have waited for symptoms I would have probably need rads and vertebroplasty and who know what other problems. Instead mets were found early due to ca27-29, which was in the 20s for 6 years the all of a sudden 77. Sure enough mets were found. I don't believe at all in simply waiting for symptoms and it would piss me off knowing what I know now about it.

     when first diagnosed in 2005 what size was your tumor and how many nodes involved? What chemo did they give you?

    My tumor was 4 cm and I had 2+ nodes.

    I had 4 ac, 12 taxol & herceptin and then a year of herceptin.

     im on chemo now.  they said i have complete pathological response in breast all residual stuff gone. but markers slightly up while on chemo

    Laurie, I just noticed my result online today.   I was at 44.4.    What made them look for liver mets at 50 for you ?   Were you having symptoms?   I can't go more than 3 weeks without missing a day of work due to being sick, sometimes less.  They ordered the test and I had it back on the 6th.   I look online in my medical lab result area and it said my result should have been under 29; yet was 44.4.   No one contacted me though.   Does that mean they aren't concerned?  Did they not get the results ?
