Just a note to all of you who are new to chemo-the word chemo is alot scarier than the actual sessions themselves. There are so many things out there to help you get through it. You have alot of people out there sending prayers and best wishes to you at this time-big hugs to all of you.

Amen Marywh
I was in shock how well I handled it once I got started. And when you look back afterwards you realize just how strong a person you really are.

Thanks Kareybeth!! I think I start with 4 AC treatments...dose dense. I know I'm in good hands...just a scary time :-)
-
I know the5owens, and no one can replace that feeling but I am for sure that once you get started you will ease up enough and won't be as scared. Too many people will be around you to help you out. They will sit you down and talk to you about everything and will give you a list of things, meds foods that will help you out!! I promise it will get easier and better for you emotionally
and just remember you are kicking/killing the cancer butt. They treat you like royalty almost. haha I will be thinking about you and praying too!!

Hi everyone,
Dx triple negative last month. Just did third ac chemo. Will complete 8 weeks ac dose dense, then taxol 12 wks weekly, then bmx and rads and recon. Hoping for pathological complete response (Pcr) from chemo, which I've read gives 95 percent 10 year survival? Surgeon said 1-2 percent recurrence with stage 2 bmx but is triple negative higher? -
the5owens {{{Prayers & Hugs}}} Will be praying and thinking about you tomorrow on you first day of chemo
On your way to kicking butt!!
placid44 well on your way {{{ Prayer & Hugs }}} Also
Tomorrow is my last test, Mammo & PRAYERFULLY for the whole year and a CLEAN & CANCER FREE ONE ONCE I HAVE MY ONCOLOGIST FOLLOW UP TOO!!
WHEW what a wild roller coaster ride for us ALL!!
Prayers

Thanks Karen I am a bit of a nervous wreck today!! Trying to relax!!
-
Karen also good luck on your appointments and will be praying for cancer free!!
-
Thanks the5owens,
I know it won't do me any good to say relax because everyone tried to tell me. Don't worry though!! You will catch on your worry and sleep while you are getting your treatments. They do take good care of you. Take a favorite book with you. With your babies I bet you don't get to do much of that. haha
They will go over every thing with you first and then start you on your treatment. Get a real comfy chair to lay back in and you will meet others like you around you. They are real friendly like in here. It will be okay!! promise. The treatments will scare you at first but they will tell you what to expect, well symptoms and they will give you a list of them along with the description of the treatments, then you just want to get them ALL over with. haha
GOD will also be holding your hand. I'm sure you will have a family member with you too, right?
TRY to relax and start the book you will be reading tonight
You also get to take an ipod or a laptop. Honestly I took all of those and after my anxiety meds they mixed with my treatments I got the best sleep.
Not only prayers for tomorrow but prayers that you get the needed sleep you need tonight.

Karen~
My hubby will be with me. His boss' wife is a breast cancer survivor so they are totally understanding so he will be with me every step of the way!! I'm feeling some better and have my "supplies" all ready for tomorrow!! I'm going to try and get to bed early...you have made me feel much better today :-) -
Good and I am glad your hubby is there. Also glad that he has the kind of boss he has. Sure helps when there are MORE understanding people. Sleep well. Will check in on you later
You now have a BIG SISTER to watch over you too. Will be with you in spirit too.
Prayers

the5owens- Good luck tomorrow for your first chemo. The first one is stressful but after that your stress level will go down and you will be fine. Will be sending you good vibes! I remember at my first chemo, when I sat in that chair, I was so nervous I started crying. There was a nice old lady beside me who comforted me and told me everything would be all right. And she was right...… Big hugs. xx
-
Hoping that your first treatment goes well. You will get used to it. Just remember the anticipation is much worse than the treatment itself. Do you know what you'll be on?
-
I will be on A/C followed by Taxol!!
Thanks ladies!! -
Ladies on my way home from my first chemo AC treatment....so far so good! I'm a little woozy from the pre meds and I have a touch of a headache. But overall easier than I thought! I will keep everyone posted in my coming days!!

Just make sure you take your anti-nausea pills before you are nauseated-they work much better that way.

-
I read your article and while it sounds promising just seing how deadly tnbc is scares me more I'm guessing that the majority of women that pass from bc they are probably .tn.do you think that the research will benefit us already with .tn or for one's deed in years to come?
-
Sorry-If it helps I was told mine was the deadliest until the advent of herceptin.
