Many of you know I am an artist. I am looking to raise 'awareness' for us "flatties" by asking you to make breast pockets (like the pockets found on shirts and blouses). Single or double pockets with closure flaps or without, according to what nonreconstructive decision you, your mother, sister, brother, father, aunt or friend had to make.

    Ok, So what do we do with the breast pockets? Could they be cut off existing clothing not worn?

     I have actually thought about trying to find a shirt with breast pockets and then, like the blog said, stuff them :-)

    Will you create art with them? A statement art?

    I think i am not clear on what you want, us to send them to you or for ourselves?

    Anyway, it is brilliant for sure.

    I am looking to make an installation piece with all of the pockets I am able to gather. You can take them from an existing shirt or make new, either way. I ask that you mail them to me. I hope to gather many.

    I did it! We taped the program about the pool program, it will be local, ABC news at 5 and I will let you know when. In the meantime, I spoke with the reporter about the Call For: Breast Pockets. She said, if I can get 1000 breast pockets, she will consider doing a story. Please help me raise awareness for us Flatties!
