Very sad to hear.  I heard her interviewed on CBC recently talking about her illness, and new album 'All the Diamonds'.  It was comprised of songs of hope love and emotions she felt living with cancer.  I could identify with her greatly as a mother, as someone living with metastatic disease, and as someone who places the importance of song in her life.  She had humour, a realistic look at what it is like living with cancer, grace, and a beautiful voice...

One particular song that I heard that day was 'I Have You'  which speaks to not needing things but having family ( I think in this case she is singing about her son).  Grab a hanky and let her voice carry you away... The documentary is 35 minutes, on the Sunday edition.  Just google cbc and Raylene Rankin,  I cant seem to copy and paste the site here, but it is well worth the listen.

It is a wonderful documentary, well worth listening to!

I was fortunate to hear her on tour last year.

"Rise Again" will always give me goosebumps!
