shoulder pain

Options

I have been experiencing shoulder pain with crackling sound when i try to move my shoulder or arm.

the pain usually starts when i sleep on my right side at night or during rest

I googled my symptoms on mayoclinic and find that i may have shoulder dislocation or osteoartheritis (i have osteoartheritis since 20 years)

but also i find that it might be a symptoms of lung or bone cancer.

my calcium level is normal and no other symptoms.

i am still concerned,  i wish its only side effect from tamoxifen (one more year to go), i am seeing myoncology on december.

any thoughts !

Maybe you should go to your GP to get it checked out.  Probably unrelated to bc tx, but at least that's a place to start.

Agree with Doxie....Time to see your GP and/or orthopedist.  Shoulder pain is notorious for disrupting sleep!  That crackling that you hear when you try to move your arm is often caused by inflammation in the shoulder ball joint.  As you try to move your arm, inflammation makes it difficult to rotate properly.   Very unlikely that it is cancer.  Bursitis, bone spurs or tendonisis is way more likely...

Hi Fadheir - I am going through the same thing.  I haven't been on this site for a while, but I am scared and thought I would check it out.  I, also, am having serious pain in my left shoulder and below it.  I am very scared.  Tomorrow I see my rheumatologist, and I am going to tell him about it and see what he thinks.  I have the cracking noise too.  It doesn't happen every time, but it has happened.  Last night while watching tv, my arm hurt sooo bad, it was just aching.  I have had bc twice, the last time was six years ago, I am praying that this is not it....I hope you are doing ok and have looked into your pain.  Hopefully it is just arthritis or something we can deal with!

    Hi Nancy,

I went to my GP as i was experiencing blood in urin and abdominal pain

he ordered blood/urin test and he told me my uric acid is high and urin sample shows infection

he mentioned that my shoulder pain may due to high uric acid and he gave me medication and ask me to watch my pain and to repeat the tests again after two weeks.

the pain still the same it hurts in the night.

i wish its only goat or artheritis

I had shoulder pain and it wasn't mets, it was frozen shoulder, also known as adhesive capsulitis.  It starts by huring at night but it will start to hurt all the time.  Your shoulder will eventually freeze and you won't be able to raise your arm.

It's very painful, very.  I went to see an orthopedic doctor and he gave me a shot of cortisone in my shoulder, which helped greatly.

It really doesn't sound like mets to me.  Good luck!
