BC retreats

has anyone been on one of these? I googled and found some info on them. Ant to take advantage of this perk

Didn't see any BC Retreats listed.

The only BC Retreat I've seen is "Casting For Recovery". It is an organization that has some weekend Retreats in some areas of the country for women to go to resorts to learn how to fly fish and get together. It sounds like a great program IF you live in some areas. Where I live, 16 states are lumped together vieing for 14 openings at one Retreat that is a LONG way away (can't apply to a neighboring state with the program).

I participated in a research study with Moffitt Cancer Center and the USF School of Nursing that was seeking to measure stress reduction (quantified by blood and saliva samples) by practicing meditation, yoga, etc. I felt like it did allow me to better understand how to deal with the time period after active treatment (surgery, chemo,rads) when we feel vulnerable. It was 6 weeks long - once a week 3 hour meeting - so, a retreat of sorts.
