Getting Port Taken Out

I am having my port o cath taken out in minor surgery at hospital on Monday.  As I recall, it was really painful afterward for about 2 weeks after I had it put in. 

Have any of you had your port removed?  If so, how  painful was it afterward?

    My wife had hers taken out yesterday afternoon. We got home and our daughter asked if I could give her a ride to the high school football game. All three of us went.



    She says it hurts to pull the car door closed...besides that "it's a 2 Advil hurt".



    She was happy to get it out...both because it bugged her and because it's another milestone.
