Some people using this website do not have cancer.

I am sad to say that people are skulking around here who do not have cancer.  They are curious as to why someone did herceptin alone, and how they managed to get this treatment.  They are here to hurt people and have no business on this site.  I am ashamed at their lack of class!

    Julie's,

Whoever you are referring to wouldn't be the first to do something like that. This is a public forum and anyone can post or fabricate an entirely false identity for themselves. It is unfortunate but that's life on the web.

Julie, I don't know your story or how you found out someone doesn't really have cancer, but I know all to well how people are "faking" it, or are just plain nuts. I made the mistake of giving someone on here my e-mail once. Naive, newly diagnosed and scared, I gave it to her without a second thought. Really stupid of me....my e-mail addy contained my name. She then proceeded to hunt down my phone number and address. It was a nightmare. I ended up having to change everything, my phone number, had to get a p.o box and notify the post office, delete my bc.org account. It's good you are giving everyone a reminder that it can and does happen. There's always wing-nuts on the web. I learned the hard way....don't even give out something as simple as your e-mail addy.

Julie -- You are correct, of course, as previously mentioned, this is a public forum.  I was particularly bothered by one poster whom I thought was either attention-seeking, mentally unbalanced, or just plain punking us.  When others pointed out the discrepancies in her (or his) story, we all were soundly "spanked" and reminded about compassion.  I guess it comes with the territory, but I agree...BC is a serious disease and one would hope everyone would be respectful...not always the case.

Bullies are everywhere. Their bitterness and negativity are a gift for them to keep!  Let the rest of us continue forward with our lives, living beautifully.
