Starting Taxanes

Hi Ladies

I just finished my final round of 4 neo-adjuvent AC chemo and am due for surgery in a few weeks. Once surgery is complete I will be starting on 12 weekly doses of Taxanes. I have been very lucky on the AC, have had no sickness, biggest side effect was fatigue on first week after treatment. Am just wondering what to expect on the Taxanes. Did any of you ladies feel ill on it? I'm pretty sure I have seen a thread on this already but I can't find it at the minute so apologies if you are repeating yourselves.

    Mum: I did 12 weekly taxol. I found it much easier than AC (although I tolerated that quite well too) and felt almost normal. My hair even started growing back - yay! I had some tingling in fingertips and toes; and my toenails eventually blackened and a few fell off. I also had a slight rash on arms and some itchiness. There are some ladies who have suffered severe neuropathy on taxol, but I think this is less likely on a weekly schedule as the dose is lighter. Hope you sail through!
