barbara - thank you for giving her our love

Carly Simon used Raymond's words in her song "Life is Eternal" from her DVD "Have You Seen Me Lately." Anytime I've lost someone, I play her song over and over. It is beautiful and hopeful. The album came out the year I lost my father. The words, whether sung or read, allow us to cry and smile in the belief that death is only a horizon.

Thank you BarbaraA for the update.
I'm sure Marybe was happy to see you and I know she must feel the love all of us here have for her.
She has certainly been a cheerleader for a lot of women here and I hope her journey continues to be pain free.
God bless you BarbaraA for giving comfort to our friend and her family.
Take care,
LaDonna

Susieq, I had acute pancreatitis which is extremely painful, worse than kidney stones, which I've had numerous times. For over for 4 weeks I could take nothing by mouth, not even water. For the first 5 days I was given enough morphine to allow me to function but not move from my bed and to remember nothing of that period. After that they reduced my dose enough to be able to move around with my IV pole and to remember until I was able to go on a liquid diet when they switched me to oral narcotics. Administered carefully for control of pain they are a blessing and certainly caused me no problems.

Thank you Barb! Bless you for being such a good friend to Marybe and to us for keeping us updated.
My sister was also on morphine when in ICU and it was a blessing for her. Her body was able to rest and she had no actual memories. She was weaned off it and a respirator and did well.
hugs to all my sisters tonight

Marybe,
I am so grateful for your encouragement and continued example of living in the face of cancer. Without you, I would have gone mental when I was first diagnosed.
Thanks for being you,
Jennifer

Marybe...I have never seen so much passion in one room. I have watched you from a distance and, you should know, the lives you have touched is endless. You are a powerful soul with extraordinary compassion. You have created pages in the stories of all of our lives and each of us warmly thank you. I know you as beauty, and I hold you with great respect. I pray for you to heal, for you to have peace and for your amazing spirit to continue to lift us all. You are a gift. A true treasure. With all my heart, I pray for you.

Marybe - you wouldn't know me but I feel I know you. Your lovely face smiling out at me from your post always lifted me and your posts were always so thoughtful and intelligent. I hope that Barbara can add me to the list of names of all the people who are thinking of you
