Misdiagnosis of a fibroadenoma?

My daughter (31) had a biopsy over 2 years ago and was diagnosed as having fibroadenoma. It turns out that she now has grade 4 breast cancer. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience? Thanks

    I know BC can hide in a fibroidenoma, it actually happened to me and was only found due to a masectomy for dcis. Ive also heard BC can hide behind fibroidenomas and thus not be seen on us and mammo's.

     Im so sorry you and your daughter are going through this, but glad youve found this site. Theres a lot of information and support to be gained from the wonderful women here.

    My lump was smooth and round and the guy who did the ultrasound was sure it was a fibroadenoma. The bs was pretty sure it wasn't cancer either but luckily they both erred on the side of caution and did not blow it off. Bs was surprised when it came back cancer. So sorry about what you and your daughter are going through. Its so scary. You will find a lot of encouragement here and a lot of good information. I come here with every question I have and there is always an answer.
