Lower Back Pain

Hi - For those with bone mets I am trying to figure out what is going on with my lower back.  I have been having pain for over a month that is worse with sitting (especially after driving my work commute which is 40 miles each way and sitting at work).  I seem to get some relief when I am not sitting all day but there is a constant spot that the pain seems to be generating from.  I am not sure if I should be calling my oncologist or I am just being paranoid.  Has anyone with bone mets to the lower spine experienced this type of pain that is worse from sitting?  Thanks!

there is a condition, totally unrelated to BC cancer, that is called Piriformis.  Many athletes get it, as do people that sit a lot and for a long time, such as sectetaries, etc.  I was diagnosed with it many years ago and it comes and it goes, but when it hits - it's one of the most painful things ever.  It can cause the bone in your butt or lower back to rage with pain when that bundle of nerves behind the tailbone get irritated.  It sets off the sciatic nerve as well.  If you google it, you will find tons of info on it.  I mention it as many people do not know of it, but those of us that have it - sure know it well!  This will also feel worse when sitting - than standing, as the sitting is what begins to put pressure on the nerves to begin with.
