Recurrence after BMX

I'm just curious how many of you have had a recurrence after a bilateral mastectomy?  What was your original diagnosis and treatment?

    I had a bmx in Nov 2004 for stage 2, er+pr+her2-, 2/11 ln. Had recurrence to spine in july 2012. Thought for sure I was in the clear. Sneaky cancer.

    BMX July 2009 for TN, after lumpectomy Dec 2008 and ACT.

    Local recurrence in bad breast May 2012.  TX was surgery and rads.

    Bilateral MX November 2010. After Chemo and Herceptin until May 2011. Rads too. No cancer was found in tissues removed during MX. May 2012 felt little "cysts". Went for a reconstruction visit. Biopsy August 2. Cancer is back on the skin surface (but not in the nodes this time). Going for more surgery next week, then rads then probably some chemo again? I am told I am lucky. I believe it's not that rare.

    Dear HLB , so sorry about your recurrence!! We have a similar diagnosis!! I am waiting for results of a repeat CA 2729 tumor market test! They were elevated last month! Wish you the best with Femara

    Thank you Kathy. I hope your numbers are back down where they belong!! We do have a similar one and I see you were dx'd only one month after I was.  Wow, what an awful time that was.
