I am always up for a party!!! It's 12:00 somewhere !!'
-
Just wanted to pass on Marie's daughter's post from Facebook; Megan wrote: "Thank you all of you in her breast cancer network who helped her by letting her talk about what she was going through, she didn't always want to talk to me and the boys and my dad because she didnt want to burden us with her struggles, and it was hard watching her going through it all and knowing she didn't want to talk about it with us, but it was a relief knowing she had people to talk to about it."
And now back to the party!!!
-
Thank you , Joni.
-
Nice, big coconuts Mum!!!!
-
OOh Mum, just pour me some rum into a coconut and I'm ready to go!
-
But take the coconut off your chest first, right?

Folks, How do you get them to knock you out for the alien butt probe? It is clearly in my future, and I have been dreading it after people telling me that they went through it wide awake. Also, and sorry to be indelicate here (she says after using the phrase "alien butt probe"), but please, please tell me the prep does not involve an enema. How does anyone face that?
-
Momine, you will have "twilight" anaesthetic. I've gone to sleep each time. Maybe if you lied about your weight you'd stay awake...hehehehehe. Also, if you wake up, you just tell them and they an easily put you back under. It is very, very light....
There is NO enema for the prep, but that might be easiery. You have to drink potions or take pills. I've had both ways. Pills didn't clear me out well enough, doc commented on it, hey! not MY fault!!! Potions kinda rip your guts out and you may spend the night on the bathmat. Don't wear underwear you like while doing the prep.
The only good thing is that when it's over you will have NO pain or indication that anyone was in "there". Promise!! You'll be starving too, a double bacon cheese burger is a common cure after a colonoscopy.
-
Oh, and FYI, it's impossible to "face" an enema! hehehehehehehehehehehe It's all done behind your back.....hahaahahhaha. Ahhh, I crack myself up!!
-
crack-appropriate!
-
Stop with the crack joke Barbe! I'm still on the floor when you said don't wear underwear!
-
Okay I got my party hat now where's the drinks? Kitty
-
omg that kitty is perfect for the party.
-
Time for one of these next.
-
Barbe, ROFL! You really are just awful. Thing is here they do not knock you out necessarily. It sounds like it is routine in the States.
-
And keeping with the tropical theme--did someone say CONGA??
dancing is good for the soul. . .
-
Cmbear- love it
-
I will bring some drinks. They are good for you right? They have fruit!
-
Momine, I AM here!! I mean THERE! I live in Ontairo, don't you????
-
Lostinmo-
Of course they're good for ya!!! -
In the States they give you the twighlight sleep as well. When DH had his he said he went to sleep and then woke up in the recovery area. The prep stuff I picked up is a little different than what DH had. I think they keep trying to improve it. Seems I don't have to drink as much of the mixture but I do have to follow it with water. Thanks OK I like water.

For those of you who knew Reesie...Please pass this on as I don't know all the sites she visited. Any questions please PM me.
Ref Reesie - I started a 'Pink Rose for Marie' at a florist in her home town. If anyone would like add a flower here are the details:
Jerry's Florist #856-317-9402. If after hours (10:30-6pm EST) call 856-283-8569. Leave a msg and they will call you back. Tell them you want to add a flower to Marie Giebel's arrangement. The florist is giving discounts on the cost, bless their hearts. The DEADLINE to add your flower is FRI, 8-17, BY NOON Eastern time. Debbie is the sweet girl I spoke to, but anyone there will be able to help you.
Pink rose - $3.00 ea Pink Gladiola - $4.50 ea Pink Tiger Lily - $6.50 ea The card will indicate that she is an angel now, from her BCO sisters, may you rest in peace.
God bless you all!!
Sue
-
Thanks Sue.
-
Sue what a great idea, thanks
-
Barbe, no, I am at a different here than you, i.e. Greece.
-
Momine, then you have the same avatar as someone from Toronto. Is your avatar generic or did you draw it?
-
Thanks Sue, I love when we do that
Momine - you just tell them that you've been through quite enough thank you, and that if they want you to have the procedure, you want to be asleep. I can't imagine they'd turn you down if you demand it!!
