Can't hold back from this little editorial, sorry: Hopefully we won't have to put up with her pastiche make-up and excess of hairspray and insincerity anymore. Brinker claims that her stepping down and the departure of the president of Komen is not a "housecleaning" but an "evolution." No wonder she "pinked" a deadly disease. She is Miss Glossy who glosses over everything. Brinker will still have a fundraising role at Komen, but hopefully the rah, rah-ing will be toned down - hopefully...

I'm not even sure I am thankful for the good that Brinker did. She didn't change anything, although I do think she tried. She may have heralded as much harm as good in the end. I don't like the BC movement, and I don't think my options are that much better today than they were in 1982 when the organization was first founded. In any case, what improvements there are were not thanks to Komen.
