What to bring when staying in the hospital

I will be having my Diep surgery with Dr Evans next month. What I would like to know is what should I be bringing to the hosptial for my stay. I have not stayed in the hosptial in a long time and I know that they give you nothing. Can anyone give me a list on what to bring . Thanks for all the advice.

Hi Dianne, if you go to the reconstruction tab you'll find the NOLA in September thread that's got a wealth of information, and other threads there as well. I was in ICU for 5 days, and then discharged so didn't really need much in the hospital other than comfy pants and a button front shirt to go home in.

I had my Diep surgery in London on Sept 11th. I brought all kinds of things with me and the only thing i found I needed was a toothbrush,toothpaste, magazines and a cell phone. I was too tired to use for anything else.
