A friend of mine would like to have an

answer for this :

'' i want to ask about the prognosis of

invasive lobular carcinoma G2 ,,and its

rate of recurrence ,,my mom was found to

have a lump in her right breast and she did mastectomy ,,the pathology report of the

tissue indicates ILC,,if any body could help

i`ll be thankful

also i want to know if there are any

complications of the operation as she feels

oedema in the right side of the abdomen,,,thanks in advance''

    There are so many variables with BC. Everyone is different and everyone's recurrence risk is not the same. Did they get clean margins? Was there vascular invasion? Lymph node invasion? Oncotype score? Will she have chemo? Radiation? Hormone therapy? ER positive? PR positive? Her positive or negative?

    Based upon my research and my Drs opinions, ILC has a higher risk of appearing in the opposite breast. Maybe most more info and others can be if help....
