Radiation boost question

Options

I had 25 regular radiations for breast cancer and was told I needed 8 boost rads which would be on the scar from where my tumor was. I just finished my 8 boosts yesterday, so now I'm all done with my treatment. My question is that my dr. said the 8 boosts would be on my tumor site, well this morning I noticed the burn marks from the boost rads are not directly on my scar, but off to the right of it...none of the redness is on the scar. Is this normal or did they miss the spot? I'm really nervous now that it wasn't done in the correct spot..can anyone else that had this done tell me if theirs was right on the scar...thank you

They do the boost to the tumor bed.  My tumor bed is located below my lumpectomy scar so the scar will not be part of the radiation boost.  Perhaps this is your situation, too.  However, you should talk to your RO to get the exact details of your situation.
