Gift for Radiation Therapists on last day of treatment
I have my last day of radiation therapy tomorrow and want to give a token of my appreciation to the therapists. Any ideas?

I brought peanut butter cookies. I also bought some bags of chocolate covered pretzels from our chocolate shop for everyone to share.I had several different techs. I also brought cookies for the people at the front desk, the sweet woman that took my vitals each week before the RO saw me and the massage therapist that gave me free massages. i was given a diploma signed by all the techs and pinned with a flower when I finished. Congratulations on getting to the finish line.

I took a box of really good chocolates to the unit that I was assigned to. They didn't last long.... ;-)
-
I brought some cookies, and I wrote an individual thank you note to each of the techs, and the nurses as well.

Thanks so much for your response! I hope you are doing well since completing your treatment.
-
Thanks for the great ideas. I love the idea of the individual thank you notes. These people have all been so good to me.
-
Thank you for the great suggestions. It is amazing how many people are imvolved in each person's treatment. Very special people!

I took them a big Edible bouquet fruit arrangement. My radiation techs were wonderful - so nice, kind, caring, and funny.
-
I forgot to tell you-congratulations on completing your treatment! That's a big milestone!
I think you were asking me how I was doing. I'm still doing well 2 1/2 years out from end of rads. I see my onc every 6 months and have either a mammogram or MRI every 6 months as well. Welcome to the new normal!

When I finished my leg and arm I brought a tray of cookies (it was around Thanksgiving).
When I did regular radiation I brought a fruit bowl (with little bowls and silverware).
Different techs (same RO different center due to work). -
I finished just before Valentines day and brought a big heart shaped box of chocolates which I described as "anatomically incorrect" along with a thank you card for all.

I baked those cupcakes with the frosting on the inside and my kids made a poster board sign that said, "thanks for taking care of our mom" i took a photo of them holding the sign and made wallet sized prints and glued them to tooth picks and stuck them in the cup cakes.
-
I took my techs candles and covers from Bath and Body Works ... They were thrilled.

I made them a CD of radiation-themed songs "Rad Tunes". The playlist is below. They loved it!
1. Radioactive (The Firm)
2. Gamma Ray (Beck)
3. Radiation (Gavin DeGraw)
4. We all Radiate (Average Superstar)
5. Love is a Radiation (The Black Seeds)
6. The Ballad of Marie Curie (Army of Lovers)
7. We Radiate (Goldfrapp)
8. Radioactivity (Kraftwerk)
9. Radiate (Puddle of Mud)
10. Electron Blue (REM)
11. Drunk on Radiation (Lady Sovereign)
12. Radiation Vibe (Fountains of Wayne)
13. Electron Romance (Strontium 90)

huh, don't know why all that gobbledy-gook was added to my post - sorry 'bout that!

I brought them a big beautifully wrapped box. Inside were a half dozen "Willow Tree" angels, such as 'hope' 'courage' 'health' etc... And a handwritten card telling them how much I appreciated their kindness, concern, and that they should never doubt that they had found their true calling in life. They were truly wonderful to me.
