You and your brother are in my prayers.
God bless y'all,
LaDonna
-
Chabba, you and your brother are in my prayers.
Jill - Good luck with the house! Very exciting!
PSM - good question. I'm sorry I can't help though...
I had my uterine biopsy today. I will get the results early next week. Today has been a tramatic day.. Trying to relax now :-)
How is the LE going??
-
Well.....we lost this house too!!! He listed price was 399,000 and we went as high as 416,000 when the agent tod us 422,000 was the "magic number" we dropped out! Crazy market!!! Well, we're resigned that we'll be looking longer and that God may be giving us a hint on where He wants us......we'll see.
-
Chabba - sending prayers your way!
-
Aloha Sisters....will be back next week....I share the details
You are all missed
♥
-
(((Sheila))) can't wait to hear your happy tales. Miss you too!
Chacha, wow, so many housing markets are slow. My son lives in SFO and is ready to buy and said the same thing....nothing lasts and you have to be ready to throw your money at them.
Sorry you didn't get this house but another one must be out there. I agree with you about not knowing how life will go so do what you can while you can enjoy it.(((Heather))) Hugs and prayers for you as you wait for your results. It must be a tough time.
(((Chabba))) Hugs and prayers for you and for your brother. What a terrible battle he is going through. I just don't have any words except that people here care very much. Please keep us posted as you choose.
Carey, I do not think you have to worry too much about your mom. Many of us found that when we were diagnosed, after the initial shock, we kind of felt energized - get this done - it is hard to explain. We all have down days...I think we even need them. A change of focus usually snaps me out of my funk. It is an emotional roller coaster, especially right now for your mom with the chemo decision. I got a few opinions and when I made my decision I felt confident.
I have my one year mammo tomorrow....please jump in if you can....I prepared quite a spread of pocket food for y'all....
GRANNY I'm here!! Hope you are holding together OK!Joan
-
In your pocket Joan! ....and happy cancerfreeversary!
-
Thanks, Cha, am waiting until after tomorrow to celebrate!
-
Joan, never miss an opportunity to celebrate!!!
-
Thank you all for your prayers. So far DB has not had any bad SE's from his first Chemo. Ate a small but complete meal last night. He is not letting himself get too hopeful that he will escape without SE's but is grateful for a little time before they hit. DB and SIL both join me in thanking you and in asking for your continued prayers.
-
Joan! In your pocket and praying for great results. (((hugs))))
Chabba - prayers to you all...
Jill, bummer about the house - you are vry lucky you are in a great housing market. Pray for the Lord's will to be done in your house hunt!
I really dislike waiting for results....
-
chabba will be praying for your brother.
Jill sorry about the house but there is one out there with your name on it. God knows when the time is right.
Joan did someone say pocket party. I'm in been very busy at work can use a distraction.
-
Chabba, Sending healing energy for you and your brother.
-
Joan,
GOOD LUCK on your upcoming tests!!!!! 1 year has passed.... HOORAY....How many of us can your pocket hold? We with you .
Vickie
-
Hi all! Back from my visit with girlfriends in the next town over the mountain. We had a great time...ate too much, drank too much, and shopped too much, but it was great seeing everyone and talking over old times. The weather was awesome the entire time.
-
Chabba--sending prayers to you, your bro and the rest of your family.
Joan....you know im in your pocket..ill bring the chocolate cake.
SHEILA-----miss you...it seems like you hold us together.Hope you are enjoying your vacation cause as soon as you get back we will have that way overdue reunion in NYC....welcome all/!!.

Wow, I don't check in here often enough...so much going on with you all. I had another MRI today to follow up on some lumps. Should have asked for some pocket people
because they were having a hard time getting good images so stuck in the machine an extra 15 minutes without being able to move (about 45 min. total). This was my fourth MRI in 18 months, but definitely the hardest as I'm feeling pretty crippled up from the Arimidex. Ouch.....
-
Tina, wow, that is such torture being in that machine. One of my worst nightmares....I hope things turn out to be normal for you.
Vicks, thanks for the good wishes.
OK - I tried not to jump up and down too much with y'all hanging on to the seams, but it was't easy....my mammo was clear and I can now say that I have made it to that first year mark.
Thanks for coming along...it means so much to know there are those who understand the emotion. Everyone told me I'd be fine....butI had to see it for myself. I got a "report card" that says come back in a yearGoing out to dinner with DH....
Hugs to all!
PS thanks for the cake, K -
TinaT- Sorry to hear about your MRI experience! Hope everything is fine with the results! Keep us posted!
-
Joan, CONGRATS!!! ENJOY DINNER OUT!
Tina, that was probably not much fun, but it is now done! Hope results are good! -
Joan, that's awesome! I jump for joy just getting a clear mammo when i've only had two benign biopsies so i can imagine the elation that all of you must get at a clear mammo! Here's to many more! (Clink!)
Chabba: So sorry to hear about your brother and i hope he handles chemo well.
Chachamom: I am a real estate paralegal and deal with buyers and sellers every day. It can get ugly
You didn't say if you have a home that you are currently trying to sell but if so, sounds like you will be in good shape on that side of it.
Kaara: Girlfriend trips are the BEST! I used to go with my best bud to FLA for a long weekend once a year. We missed the last two years - once because of a snowstorm of 24 inches canceled our flight and last year, we just didnt make plans. Next year, we already said - WE ARE GOING!
Take care everyone!
-
woohoo Joan!
-
Hey everybody...so much going on here to catch up with...had to check in and send out the love to you all...
hawk...sorry you are going through this waiting crap...that is so hard
and Tina...that Arimidex about took me out with one dose...hopefully the side effects will wear off...sometimes I get scared doing the DIM and grapeseed extract route but I just could not handle the immediate pain
Granny...you are a one woman care group my friend....herding us up when we go astray:)))
to everyone else...while I did not comment on every single thing I read my heart gave each and every one of you a shout out....
AK
-
annettek: Good to hear from you! I'm also taking the grapeseed extract along with my 1/2 dose of tamoxifen. Hope it helps! Only time will tell.
-
Was wondering if I could use grapeseed extract with Letrozole. Would anybody have this info????
-
Annettek- a leap of joy to see the leaping goat again, missed you and hope you come back often.
-
Carey, unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) we are not in a position to sell the condo we're in now because we're upside down on the mortgage...so we'll rent it out for a few years if we ever get a house! We are blessed in that we don't HAVE to sell or buy anything right now...just want to get something we can stay in for many years at the current interest rate!
...and God is going to find that perfect house for us if it is His plan! -
JOAN!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So so happy for you!
Annette - great to hear from you.
Tina - Did you get your results yet or are you in that waiting game with me?
Jill - Amen on waiting for His plan :-)
Sheila - miss you.
Kaara - glad you had fun!!
Happy Friday everyone!
-
annette so glad to hear from you
Kaara-I am taking a girlfriend weekend next weekend and can't wait. They are my childhood friends and make me laugh
-
Sherryc: I hope you have as much fun as I did! I needed the break from my routine.
