DLL66,
Welcome!! Is that your bunny in your avatar? I have a house rabbit. She's brown with a little white cottontail.
-
Thanks, Lee! Yes, Lucky is also a house rabbit.
-
Lucky is so cute ! I'll have to bring a picture of my bunny to lunch to show you. The really funny thing is, she's grown up with my cats and so I swear she thinks she is one of them.
-
Hi DLL66, your bunny is cute! We would love to have you join the group on Saturday.
Anyone coming from Lakeland/Winter Haven want to ride with me? I will be going up I-4.
Shelley
-
Are we meeting at 11, or 11:30?
-
Looking forward to meeting all of you, whatever time you decide.
-
I'm shooting for 11:30.
-
kira, sorry you have such a long drive! 11:30 is fine with me.
I'm going to leave my house early because traffic on I-4 can be iffy so I should be there between 11-11:30.
Should we/do we need to try to reserve a table?
Hoping everyone who is coming will check in today/tonight so we have a count.
-
I'm looking forward to the day. We are spending the night at the Crown Plaza. DH and I are going to take advantage of the trip to visit with his sister who we haven't seen in years.
-
Kira-- that sounds wonderful! I'm sure you & DH will enjoy the stay and the visit.
Shelley--I'd car pool with you but I think I think I'm going to take advantage of the stores afterwards...ha,ha. Window shopping is a good way to burn off the cheesecake. I saw they have a Yankee Candle shop. I have a favorite yankee candle that I'd love to be able to find another one.
gosh I sound like a shop-a-holic but its just the opposite. I hardly ever get to a big mall area like this.
-
I intend to do some shopping in the mall as well. I really miss having a large mall near by. Does anyone know if there is a teacher supply store in the mall. When I was having chemo at the hospital they told me there was one in some mall but don't remember which one.
-
kira - I don't think there is a teacher supply but here is a link to the store directory:

lee7 - the configuration of tables inside the Cheesecake Factory does not really lend itself to large groups. I think it would be worth a call to see if they can make a reservation or arrangement for us.
I am coming and bringing galsal with me. If everyone else comes it could be at least 7 or 8, right?
-
It will be 8 if Barbara is still coming. Hopefully she'll check in here soon.
I hope the restaurant can maybe pull two tables together..something like that. I can call and check.
-
OK..I called and have a 11:30 reservation for 8, inside, where it should be wonderfully cool.
I'm glad you mentioned it Special K! The table is under "Lee", so if someone runs late the hostess should be able to direct you to us.
-
Yay! Perfect!
-
Sounds great!
-
Well, now I have an excuse to check out International Plaza!
See you in the am
-
See you tomorrow, sorry for the late checkin. I was hosting an Olympics party for my lab. It was fun! I'm shooting for 11:00, so it will really be 11:30~~~
-
Hey Florida Gal Pals!
Here are my photos! -
Our get-together at the Cheesecake Factory!
-
Sorry this one is fuzzy :O
-
I had a wonderful time. It was great to meet every one of you and I look forward to making this a regular event.
-
I love the photos! I really had a great time too! Ate way too much of the cheesecake though.
I'm definately looking forward to our next get together.
Kind of stumbled on to something in the mall....have any of you ever tried the Bare Essentials Minerals makeup? There's a store near Nordstroms. Shells and I wandered in there. OMG, I really love the original powder foundation. I am so surprised how well it covers and blends but still feels like nothing is on my face. We walked out of there looking absolutely gorgeous!
-
Yes, I have seen ads for that in the middle of the night, when I am awake far more than not. All kinds of interesting things advertised in the wee hours. Who knew.
I think it is also sold in Sephora. I did not know if had its very own whole store. One of the things promoted about it is its natural suncreen properties. A definite plus for Floridians.
-
There is also a stand-alone Bare Escentuals store at Wiregrass - it is great stuff and it is very well rated on the skin-deep site for safety and lack of harmful ingredients.
I had a great time with all of you yesterday and also hope that we can get together regularly! Makes my heart happy to see all of our smiling faces around the table!
-
We all looked so mahvelous dahlinks! It was a pleasure to meet you all!!!!
-
Thanks for letting me tag along! It was fun meeting all of you.
-
Just got back tonight. I had such a great time. Shells thanks for the pics.
-
Hey kira! It was great to see you. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your long weekend up this way and the drive home wasn't too long.
-
Lee I loved seeing you and everyone. The drive was shorter than to the BS to be honest. We stayed because we wanted to shop and visit my DH's sister we haven't seen in 5 years or so. We decided to see some of the sights in the area we had never seen before, and we loved it.
