Works for me as well!!
-
Sounds like a plan !! I've never been there, did I say that already? so somebody will have to suggest WHERE to eat. I think I already know where to find dessert.

Kira1234, BarbaraA, SpecialK, shells43, galsal, who else is interested in getting together for lunch on Sat. JULY 28th, International Plaza over by Tampa airport?
I found their website, its www. shopinternationalplaza. com . Lots of good restaurants there to pick from. But somebody else has to pick it......I really don't eat out much
and have no clue.
-
What time were we planning to get together? I'm open to what ever the rest like. It should be a fun day if anything like last year.
-
Last year I was still wiped out from tx though I don't think I really knew that then...I wish I had felt up to going to the Chiluly museum. It's still on my to-do-someday list. I definately have more energy now.
At the plaza you can eat, talk, window shop, eat, talk, do some more window shopping....maybe even buy something I wouldn't normally buy!
I'm looking forward to it.
It looks like everything opens at 10am. Should we try for 11AM somewhere and then head to a restaurant or just meet at a restaurant?
OK..who knows this place ? Where do we start?
-
I've never been there, but love to shop.
I know when I there having radiation someone told me about a teachers shop in the mall will have to see if it's in this mall. My DH better beware if it is!!!!
-
Kira,
You have to help keep me straight on dates!!....I posted (and PM'd a few people) the wrong date earlier. We're talking about SATURDAY, JULY 28th. I think I corrected everything.....geesh.
Mondayschild, thank you for letting me know.
-
Saturday, July 28 works for me.
The Cheesecake Factory is a full restaurant with an incredibly long menu. It is not just desserts.
Nordstrom Cafe is very nice, but not for a large crowd. I live in Tampa and have been to most of them, but need to look at the website to see what is current. Will give opinions on a few over the weekend.
-
That would be a great help MondaysChild. I just looked to see what the Cheesecake factory offers, and as you said they offer many foods.
-
Kira,
It depends on how many. Cheescake Factory is probably good for any size group. Smaller than 8 or so, Cafe Bistro at Nordstrom is probably the best pick. Champp's and Brio Italian can also deal with any size. The rest are most bars, food court, or more formal like The Capital Grille is.
-
and I thought the Cheesecake Factory was only cheesecakes.....
.
-
So any idea how many are coming. and any idea of time.
-
Lee, when I first heard of the place, I too thought it was a dessert shop. I was totally surprised at it being a "regular" restaurant and the overwhelming menu.
-
Kira1234, BarbaraA, SpecialK, shells43, galsal, MondaysChild,Lee7...
7 so far if everyone is okay with Sat July 28th and able to come. What do you think is a good time to meet? I read places open at 10AM, so maybe meet up by 11, or 11:30 for lunch?
-
Yes, 11 or 11:30 would be good for me.
-
So did we decide on meeting at the Cheesecake Factory at 11:00-11:30? They have really good food, large portions, and the cheesecake you can share between about 3 people. I haven't been there in several years, but they used to have a pretty big waiting area outside to meet in. It is around the back side of the mall.
-
I'll vote for the Cheesecake Factory. 11-11:30 sounds good.
Hopefully everyone will check in soon so we can firm up the plans.
-
I'm in.
-
I'll be there!
-
So how do we recognize each other? Fake boobs and chemo curls?
-
I'll be the one fanning myself because I'm having a hot flash......
-
Well 2 years out but still have curls!
-
Ha Ha! I'll be the one with uneven boobs, curls AND fanning....
-
shells43,
You have been to the Cheesecake Factory, right? What's the outside meeting area look like? Is in under cover in case..(nooooooooo, I shouldn't say it but) its rainy? This is FL in the summertime. I've been caught in torrential downpours twice this week already.
I suppose I should toss the fan and carry an umbrella!
-
lee7 - there is a open area by the front door but the foyer-like area inside the door is pretty big, definitely big enough to accomodate a meet-up location if it is raining.
-
Does the restaurant have an outside entrance as well? It looks like it does but wasn't sure.
-
kira - several of the restaurants at Int'l are arrayed in a long courtyard that is external of the mall called Bay Street. The entrance to Cheesecake Factory is only outside, it is not connected to the mall itself. There is also an outside eating area.
-
I'm so glad I asked I would have been hunting the mall it self for the place.
Do you have any suggestions on a good motel for my DH and I top spend the night? We thought we would enjoy the town for the night after the long drive up.
-
If you have room for one more, I would love to meet up with you ladies.
-
Oooh, oooh. Yes, please come with us!
