Ontario Get Together

Joanne, I start my rads July 31 & if I have suffered no ill effects by Aug. 19th and my treatment scedule works I would love to be there....Many "ifs" but I will try. I have not yet met a kindred spirit in this journey (other than online) & it would be so good to laugh and cry together.
-
Gonna have to put me back in as a "maybe". I have 2 unexpected surgeries coming up: one for the mass in my abdomen and one for a pacemaker!
-
Isabelle it will breat it you can make it.
Barbe we will put you on the maybe but hoping you can make it. -
barbe....jeez so sorry to hear that....let's pray one is nothing and the other goes well! Sure hope to meet you tho
-
Thanks schatzi! I've made 3 other gatherings, so I'm hoping to see "old" friends and meet "new" ones, too!
-
Barbe - hope to see you again this year
-
Looking forward to seeing old friends and new ones too.
-

Now I have a glitch ... I have a commitment on August 18th ..... Too many to think of but any chance we can change this to the 25? Otherwise I can make it but maybe at 1:30 instead of 1.
-
Joanne - isn't the date the 19th...not the 18th? Or, did you mean to write you have a commitment on the 19th?
-
No sorry, I have a commitment on the 18th which will tie up some of the weekend. The get together is the 19th. Just will be a busy weekend. I am having a celebration party on the 18th with family and friends to celebrate my treatment being over.
-
anytime is fine with me
-
Anytime is fine with me, we might be able to bring in some of those "no's" and "maybes" by changing the date. We also might lose some of the "yes's".
-
I know and I don't want to do that. I will make it on the 19th if I have to, I might just be tired.
-
Certainly if there is a change of date, then I would probably be able to come (not the 25th though)......the 26th would be fine. But if most people have committed to the 19th, I just don't think I can make it. My family is coming over at 5 pm for a dinner celebration on the 19th.
-
I'm away on holidays any date after the 19th but do whatever works best for everyone.
-
I will have to check my work schedule tomorrow.
-
ok - i deleted the message -- the 19th it is -- I want everyone that had said they are going to be there ... I can make it
and look forward to seeing everyone.
-
Joanne, I think that is best as so many have booked that date already. I'll be thinking of all of you.
-
So... I am going to post the updated list. I got a PM with a link to a thread which affected the list. What I have right now is as follows:DATE -- AUGUST 19TH -- 1 P.M. -- MILESTONES - WHITBY (401 & THICKSON ROAD EXIT)

MarpleWith great loss and regrets:
dreamwriter will not be attending.

I am relieved it is back to the 19th...the 20th is my first mammo since...................
-
Seeing as I already got my pacemaker in so fast, I should be able to flip back to "Yes". The mass in my abdomen is booked to come out in September. This is all depending on my Onc appointment Aug 17th to get results of brain CT and bone scan.
-
Aw barbe...so much to deal with...you are amazing...we all wish you the best of luck with your MO appt.
-
Hi there..It looks as though I can be there--Sherri--we should carpool (let me know). If anyone else coming from Mississauga/Oakville area--we could probably arrange to ride together? Thanks for organizing. I am also heading into my scans/mammo/us--and a bone scan due to some ongoing pains...however, most of that will happen after that date--so it will be nice to see you all before heading into a round of appointments!
-
I adjusted the list.

Hi Rachel, sure carpooling would be great.
-
Bumping this as a reminder to people it is 2 weeks out...
-
Good job ... See you all there.
-
Hi ladies, I'm a newbie here but if that's okay, would love to see you all in Whitby. I live in GTA so can carpool to Whitby.
-
That would be great Sheila ... Maybe you can hook up with someone for a ride. See you in Whitby.
