I have LE on my left side. It is in trunk and upper arm. Two days ago my knee and leg were totally swollen. I had not injury to my knee at all. I went to orthopedic yesterday who took xrays and could find nothing. He told me to take advil and keep elevated with ice. If the swelling is not down in 2 weeks they would do an MRI. But now I am thinking....Can you get LE On the  opposite side and only in those two locations.

My oh my anything else!! Just when you think you can take a step backwards and feel good about yourself, something GD goes wrong again.  I am just really ticked off because I am going on vacay in a month with my kids to Disney and I just wanted a non worried time...

Okay any ideas?

It sounds like joint inflammation--it's just in your knee and ankle, right? The first thing that comes to mind, in the Northeast--Lyme disease.

If it's just in the joints, sometimes a rheumatologist is helpful.

Now, many of us with LE have a genetic predisposition to get it, so I know a woman who got leg LE after a knee replacement, and has arm LE after breast cancer. And a number of us on the boards have some leg issues.

But, go with the inflammatory arthritis concept first. IMO.
