worried about bone scan results
Got my bone scan results and wondered if anybody else has gotten these results that turned out to be normal. New uptake at T4 vertebral body highly concerning for metastases. I'm having MRI thursday. I've gotten testing before that suggested follow up testing to be sure but I've never had wording that said that before. I'm pretty concerned!

You don't have all the data yet! Has your onc ordered CA27-29 bloodwork to monitor tumor markers? They aren't diagnostic of metastatis alone, but would give additional information. The MRI should also offer additional views of the naughty vertebrae.
And, even if it is bad news, one lesion confined to bone has a pretty decent prognosis.
But, don't mess with Dr. Google until you get all your information, as you will just make yourself insane.
Take care,
Jennifer

I know where you are at packaging, I really do. Bone scan was done on Friday, got the results on Monday (he called them 'questionable'), saw him today and looked at them together, and there are definitely things there that weren't on may last bone scan (7 years ago). My MRI is tomorrow, and I'll get the results on Thursday.
Blainejennefer is right, we don't have all of the information, and the MRI will make everything clearer.
I have stopped googling and fishing around for any more fuel to feed my fear fire. Let's wait this out together.
I'll be praying for both of us,
Leslie

Don't forget that arthritis and old injuries will also show an uptake. I'll be praying for you both that's all it will be. Wishing you both good news - and "bearable" anxiety (is there such a thing?) until you find out .

MRI showed highly suspicious for metastases as well and ct showed lymph nodes suspicious as well in axillary and subpectoral nodes. Having vertebral biopsy today as well as petscan later this week. Tumor markers drawn yesterday.

Leslie & Maureen..... I'm hoping for the best possible news for both of you. I'm going for bone scan on Monday and am very nervous as well.
