Question about recurrence

I am a triple neg survivor of almost 4 years!!!  I had double mastectomy (which identified 16 tumors , 14 non invasive and 2 invasive  no node involvement) and I had chemo.  Now I have found a lump under my arm, which does not hurt but I do have chest wall and arm achiness.  So...I went to the doc yesterday and had an ultrasound which came back clear, however the doc did feel the lump which is small.  She said it was a sebeceous cyst but set my next  appt for 3 months instead of 6 which I had been having.  Now I'm a little worried that she may be suspecting something else.  When I looked up this type of cyst it seems like it's more like a pimple, this is a little bump under the skin, feels pretty deep.  Should I wait three months or have my GP look at it.  I think it's strange that the ultrasound didn't show anything??  Any insight on this??

Sorry you have not gotten any replies! I would have it checked out sooner to put your mind at ease. Probably nothin, but we can not be too careful!

I had a sebaceous cyst on my back - it was round & hard and felt just like a marble under my skin. It gew & stuck out so I had it removed (office procedure). then the darned thing grew back even bigger! this time my gp took it out and she said it gre back becuse the first doc (a resident) didn't go deep enough - it was a perfectly round, hard marble and she had to cut all the way in & around. Maybe yours isn't big enough to bother you, looks-wise, so she's just leaving it? mine looked like I had a marble under my skin, which I did! But I don't know why she'd want to see you in 3 months instead of 6. Maybe she feels that in 3 months it will be just the right size to take out? (they just freeeze you and it's totally painless)

Might be a cyst, or maybe an inflamed lymph node?  I would have it removed and biopsied if only for peace of mind.  Unfortunately, you cannot be too vigilant in looking for signs of recurrence as the key is to catch them early.  I have survived two recurrences because of over-vigilance. Caught them early so they were easily taken care of.  (I feel sometimes like I am playing Whack-a-Mole!)  Please let me know how things go for you. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
