I have been short of breath about two weeks now. I finished rads four months ago. Who do I contact?

I would have my family doctor order a chest x-ray just to make sure nothing's going on there. Hope it's nothing serious.

I think you should call your RO. I remember mine reminding me that if I develop a dry cough or shortness of breath, to let him know..

OK, because I wasn't sure if it was the onc's job or how to go about it. Thanks!

Update: Apparently I am fine. We decided to move my annual scan up to check out the lungs. Scans are clear. Theybalso checked for anemia, nothing doing there. Had a heart ultrasound, also normal. Today I saw a pulmonologist, who also cleared me.

The lung doc did note that I have a bit of a runny nose, so he thought it might be allergic somehow.

Has anyone else developed new allergies after chemo (I never had any before) and/ or developed asthma from rads?

I had the same problem after Rads. If I would get a cold/cough/bronchitis, what have you, it would last for 5 months before I'd stop coughing, which was quite annoying.

Thanks, good to know I am not nuts. Sorry you had trouble so long though. That sounds quite ghastly.
