Good morning ladies - just wanted to send everyone my love and support. I am four days out from my 4th round of TCH. I have to say this has been the easiest round for me so far. A little achy but not bad!

I will be completing chemo (hopefully, if all goes well) on August 9, with a total of 6 rounds of TCH. Looking forward to getting back to "normal", whatever that may be.

    Hi everybody,

Just caught up reading all the posts since last week. Great information on the radiation choices, helped me tremendously. My case was also on the fence, I had isolated tumor cells in my sentinel node and my case was put in front of tumor board and two factors made them decide I should get rads

    * Triple negative tumor
    * Age less than 35

Interesting that my MO said that with isolated tumor cells, usually it is considered node negative, but with triple negative receptors they tend to treat it like node positive so I most likely will be getting rads after the chemo regiman (Yay me!)

Getting my weekly break from AC and next week starting my Taxol. It is encouraging to see people starting to feel better with Taxol. So looking forward to that.

Praying for minimal SEs for everybody.

I'm in the BGC waiting to start.  Today I had a choice of a bed or chair. The bed is so darn tempting.  DD and are are tempted to curl up together and go back to sleep!  I figure the chair is better for playing on my laptop.

Sandi, I move to weekly Taxol next x12.  I am hoping for minimal SEs as the AC has kicked my butt.

We could do a private Facebook group.  I think our experience is valuable to document here for others to see, but as we move to the next stages I would love to continue to see your beautiful faces and watch as you blossom into the new you!

Vballmom, I wish the best in the BGC today. With the bare minimal side effects. I have been told that A/C is very hard.

Good luck to all who are in the chair this week!

Oh Mary - I am so sorry. I do not have words to describe how sad this makes (and angry). Having to go thru bc is hard enough! Your other half should be your rock, and for a second time! Put yourself first, your needs, wants and feelings. And (hold on I am going to say it) FUCK Him!

mary - So sorry, but if he's cheating on you, he definitely is NOT your better half.  You are a strong woman and do not deserve to be treated that way, ever, but especially now!

Mary:  Hugs to you.  I agree with Marcia--if he was your "better" half, he wouldn't be doing that sh......

Vballmom and Sandi:  Good luck with your infusion today.  Vball:  I must admit cuddlng up to my DD sounds wonderful.  I haven't seen her in two months and will see her this weekend when I go to Chicago. God, how I miss my kids!

Vballmom:  Do you know how to set up a separate FB group?  I have no clue.  Maybe you could facilitate this.  Would you need our e-mails for us to get the invited?  Let us know, even if you have to PM all of us.  I could help, if needed.

I decided to take the day off work even though I am work from home. I am just so lethargic.  Just lying her on the couch with my two goldens.

Hi everyone! I don't think I've logged in to BCO in a month or so. I seem to be prone to what my onc calls "anticipatory nausea," just getting nauseous from associations. So many things give me that awful queasy feeling, even just reading about chemo here.

The great news is that my tumor is now completely undetectable by touch.

I've completed 4 of 6 TAC treatments so far. The end is in sight but still so far away.

Managing my other side effects ok, I guess. Eating has been more a chore than a pleasure, as my tongue looks and feels like what I imagine a dead slug looks/feels like. Nothing tastes good but my husband has been very insistant that I eat at least something at every mealtime. ("Thanks" to his efforts, I've gained back the weight I lost over the first three treatments.)

I've been very tired. My iron levels were the only thing low at my last bloodwork, so I've been trying to eat beans and/or spinach at every meal, with foods containing vitamin C to aid absorption when possible. Hopefully boosting that will help with my fatigue.

I hope everyone is doing well, and I hope I can join in more once I finish chemo and go into surgery then rads.

Cottontail:  Good to hear from you!  I am glad you are managing your S/E's okay.  You are over 50% done with chemo!  That's great news!

Hey to all....I've missed posting in the forum but today I'm not gonna let it pass without at least 1 post.

I'm happy that so many of you are finishing up chemo all together ....even finishing AC and moving onto Taxol...Yaaa!

I've finished AC#3 on jun 20......bu in between ac2 and #3 baby boy decided to bring his joy to our lives....he was due jul 4. Went into the OBG on jun 6....I was already 3cm dilated....and having contractions every 10 mins, even thought wasn't feeling them. Blood counts were exceptional at that time (surprisingly) so we decided to induce a week earlier. h

That was some pain that induction...but Ethan-Zade came to us healthy and peaceful @6lbs at 36 weeks.

Been adjusting ok to the new schedules etc with bottle feeding and diaper changes in the middle of the night.....at least I get to do something while i have this insomnia. Lol.

Have my last AC on jul 10. Then onto weekly taxol for 12 weeks.

Love and healing positive energy to all you strong women.

Xoxo from the little Caribbean island of tobago.

Stacie - to insert a link.

First, pull up the page (on a new browser tab) you want to link to.

Copy the url at the top of the page.

Next, come back to where you want to post it.

Type the name of the thread.

    Highlight what you just typed.

Hit the link button (looks like a chain link).

Paste the url in the "link url" box that opens up.

Hit insert.  You'll see what you had highlighted turn into a link.

Hope that helps.  It's not that easy to figure out the first time!

Mercy me ladies, we are a busy group!

Positivity- God be with you and yours

Mary- I don't have any words for your yucky other half- so there- if you were here in Texas I would ask my football playing son to please go beat him up!  (Which I know is inappropriate but would feel good anyway.)

    Satcie:

I would love it if someone started a FB Group for us.  I would definately join.  I am not doing rads but I am doing Tammi or an A1 and I know that several of us have come thru surgeries together in April of this year and I don't want to lose visiting with all of you.

Sending my love and hugs to everyone - Jenny

Cottontail - congrats on being over 1/2 way done!

Positivity - congrats!  I don't know how you do it, honestly.  You are truly amazing!

Good luck to all in the BGC today!

Update on me:  Had my Herceptin only today, no problem.  I'm feeling better overall, more energy, less heartburn.  I still have the thrush (can you believe it) and my whites are still low, but not critically.  I'll be glad to get past day 21 (day 19 now) which will be past the 3 week mark after my last chemo.  I'm hoping then I will finally see my numbers climb and get rid of the freakin' thrush!  My hemoglobin is the same as last week, 8.7, so still taking it easy.

Carb cravings explained: via my nurse - thought you all would find this interesting!  The steroids make your sugar levels spike.  Your body releases tons of insulin in response.  Then, the steroids wear off, your sugar drops, but there is a lag in the insulin...it's still high.  SO, your body craves a sugar source and the easiest source are simple carbs...and you crave.  How cool is that to understand?  So now we know. Smile
