Knowing what you know now, what would have helped?

Good morning. I'm eight months into my own battle with this beast, and yesterday, my sister called to say she was just diagnosed with IBC. Unbelievable.

A question for my IBC friends...what can I do to help her? What do you wish someone had said or done when you first were diagnosed? I have my perspective from my own experience, but I thought I'd pick your brains too.

We live about a thousand miles apart so I can't go scrub her toilets...

Sbelizabeth, we're so sorry to hear about your sister. Perhaps she'd be interested in also joining the boards here, and learning about her diagnosis from the main Breastcancer.org site? As we're sure you and so many others can attest, we are a valuable resource for information, support, venting, and so many things you can't get anywhere else.

We wish you and her the best of luck and hope to welcome her here soon!

Hi, Mods. I've already told my sister that "Dr. Google" is the absolute worst placed she could look for information, and this site is the absolute best. She'll be here soon. Thanks for your encouragement and support.
