Hi gals, long time no talk. I am 2 treatments into my current round of chemo. AC is certianly much different than my TCH I had the first time.

Quesiont - can you get cellulitus in your non-LE arm? I dont think it is cellulitis but I have a large hard very painful lump above my wrist..It hurts really really bad and I have a very high tolerence for pain. This is my off chemo week, had blood work on Monday which showed my neutrophil count was .01 so basically zero. As precausion the onc put me on antibiotics. Could I still have an infection? I have no fever and no red streaks but I dont feel good but that could just be the chemo yucks too.

Any adviceSmile

Aw, Allison, what a crummy situation.Frown Like you needed yet another "interesting" new development--NOT!!!

I'd sure contact the doc and have him/her look at it. As to whether or not it's cellulitis, doesn't seem real likely to me, but any given antibiotic could conceivably be the wrong one for any given case of cellulitis. If it's cellulitis you need help fast, and if it's not you want answers fast too--so see someone today before the weekend.

Let us know what you discover. Hope it's a quick-fix and a no-worry!Kiss
    Hugs,
    Binney

    Hi Binney,

Thanks for responding. I didnt think it was cellulitis but I marked the area last night with a marker to see if it grew and it actually went down in size. I didnt call the dr, I have no fever and it is getting better. I see my onc on Monday for chemo #3 so I will have blood work then.

    So sick of doctors!

Allison, I'm glad it's getting better, just keep an eye on it, and it's very understandable why you are sick of doctors.
