Pregnant and concerned
Hello everyone!
I am 24 years old and 27 weeks pregnant! I am looking for some advise...
About 3 months ago I noticed my right breast was extremely red, inflamed (my bra leaves marks), hot, itchy, painful, clear sticky discharge from the nipple and I have peau d'orange. I didn't get nervous until a week later when my other breast took on all of the same symptoms. I went to my OBGYN and she put me on antibiotics. When that didn't work she put me on another antibiotic and when that didn't work she sent me to a breast specialist... So this is obviously not a breast infection.
The breast specialist told me even though i have the typical symptoms of IBC not to worry because my symptoms are on both breast at the same time and that the symptoms are probably due to the pregnancy....
The swelling, redness and peau d'orange is now spreading from the inside of my breast to underneath and starting to move towards the outside of my breast....
I am wondering if she could be wrong about IBC only being in one breast? Everytime I google "bilateral IBC" it is always Women that had IBC in one breast, went through treatment and then diagnosised with IBC again.
I am just looking for some advise on what to do? Am I over reacting or should I consult another doctor? Thank you all for reading this and thank you for any comments!!!!!!

Did they tell you what it was?
I'm 20 weeks pregnant and have a red patch on my right breast, it's not on both and the skin feels like it's thickened/swollen. Super scared here.

Not yet. I just had a punch biopsy done on Tuesday!! Just waiting for the results!
I would see your dr ASAP about your breast! You can never be too careful!!!! -
Missmoe4414 - I'd be interested to hear how this all turned out for you. I'm 24 weeks pregnant and have the same symptoms. Have red, sore area on both breasts that starts on inside about nipple-level and extends down underneath both breasts. The red areas are sore to touch (almost like a sunburn). I saw my doctor today and she is sending me for an ultrasound but soonest I can get in is about 10 days from now. I'm very worried...

would be great to hear what happened in the end - was it just pregnancy related changes that eventually went away? I have boiling hot bright pink areas on both breasts, pretty symmetrical, possibly a little peau d'orange skin. I'm 17 weeks pregnant and waiting for biopsy results. I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone else who has had similar symptoms during pregnancy

Alo,
Missmoe hasn't been here since 2012. You might want to start a new topic so you can receive more timely responses.
Best of luck to you,
