Moms hair

Today I came home from swim practice in the morning and saw my mom with a scarf on her head. I asked her why that was on and she proceeded to cry a little and say that her hair was coming out by the handful. I felt so bad for her. The past few days I have been look ing for signs that it was coming out: her hair looked dull, I knew it wouldn't be long. When I got home from work this evening she had no hair. My moms best friend- who I call "Aunt"- had come over and her and my dad shaved moms head. I could tell that mom didn't like it ( who would?!) but we just cracked some jokes and got through it. I was not as upset as I thought I would be when I finally saw it. I don't know if this is just because she's my mom but I swear she has the most beautiful shaved head I have ever seen. Just thought I would share what's happening right now :/

    My wife alternated between mad and don't care on the subject of hair loss.



    When she started losing her hair she was a bit upset about it too. I cut it as short as possible with scissors and she wears a scarf when she goes out during the day. The reason she wears the scarf is so she doesn't get sun burned. At night, she goes out bald.



    I thought I'd be upset when I cut her hair, but I wasn't....and that surprised me...



    Bald is beautiful..... :-)

    Phoebecat520- You are such a sweetie girl!!!!  One of the sweetest things my children (21yrs and 18yrs) have said to me that is that I am still Mom, no matter what I look like!!!!  I know you feel the same way about your Mom.  Those words show me that they understand that it isn't the physical appearance of someone that matters but who that person is to them emotionally.  Thanks for sharing.  Hugs to you!!!!
