If you use MMS discuss it with your doctor. That is true of any treatment. Two different treatments can cancel each other out Iam not an expert on MMS but I do not know of any evidence that it works for breast cancer.

dmona - There is a Stage IV forum here and the sisters who post there are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. You can find it here:

...hopefully they can answer any question you might have.

Zuvart,
How was the woman taking the Turkey Tail mushrooms? Supplement? Actual mushroom?
-
Sweetbean,
I believe she was taking a supplement. The product used in the study was Host Defense Turkey Tail mushroom from Fungi Perfecti (sp). It's a supplement. The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (http://www.nccam.nih.gov/) funded and oversaw the study. I'm sure that if you contact them, they should be able to provide more info. But if you decide to use turkey tail mushroom, do your research and see if there are other companies that sell an even higher quality product 'cause you never know.
-
Zuvart,
Regarding quality of Turkey Tail mushrooms- how do you know if a particular brand is higher or lower quality?
Thanks -
Orange, you could make sure that there's a certifying agency on the label; find out what the mushroom connoisseurs are saying about the different brands online, and make sure that you are buying an extracted Turkey tail mushroom supplement. I don't think that the unextracted supplements have been studied.
Turkey tail mushroom extract PSK is one of the most studied medicinal mushrooms in the world. It's proven to be potent anti-cancer medicine with the ability to kill cancer stem cells, enhance liver function and boost the immune system. I read that in the late 70's it was approved by the Japanese Ministry of Health and Welfare to help extend survival rates of cancer patients. Western standard medicine is so far behind. It's no wonder why so many desperate terminally ill cancer patients pack up and go abroad to get treatments.
Here's the U.S. study.
