Secondary mets in peritoneum

My partner was diagnosed with estrogen receptor positive metastatic breast cancer twelve years ago. She went through surgery and chemo. The bc metastasized to the bone after she was told it was OK to stop Tamoxifin five years post-op (don't listent to that, ladies!). Gets Zometa monthly and takes Arimadex daily. Latest CT shows numerous secondary tumors in peritoneum. I've read this site has a very poor outcome. Anyone dealing with this? If so, what chemo? Symptoms from the mets? Side effects from the chemo? The doc is not very forthcoming, so would appreciate hearing the issues yours is raising.
