I will be making a trip next week and can only take a small piece of luggage for a 5 day trip.  I always store my Amoena breast form in the case it came in (I was told to do this to protect the form).  The problem is that the case takes up quite a bit of room. Will my form be ruined if I don't keep it in a case for 5 days?  Is there another option?  I have a bra with formed cups and I thought about using it to store the form in.

    Thanks!

I used to have both silicone and foam prostheses.  When I traveled, I placed them in the pockets of my spare mastectomy bras. I was very careful to place the bra with the silicone ones in the middle layer of the suitcase so it was well cushioned and to make sure there was nothing sharp packed in that suitcase that might rupture the prostheses shell.

Once I reached my destination, I stored the silicone prostheses in the pockets of the mastectomy bra and hung the bra from a hanger in the closet.  Placing the straps over the hook part of the hanger kept the bra on the hanger instead of sliding off the shoulder part of the hanger.  I would also use the clips on a skirt or trouser hanger to clip the bra on the hanger.

Very good advice, I never would have thought of this, I just took the time to make little "beds" for them out of socks and underpants and such, the bra on the hanger idea is perfect.

Thanks for the idea!  That will work great and save me room in my luggage.  Appreciate your help!
