Jenn - I envy your garden!! Out here in the pacific northwest, I haven't even planted anything yet! I did buy a bunch of tomato plants and flowers for my patio pots, but then there was the threat of frost, so I covered them overnight and they are all till sitting on the patio waiting.
We actually have the heating on - it has been cool and rainy the last few days. Our peonies do not look good this year - don't think we're going to get many flowers.
Our oldest son graduated last week and is visiting family in California with a view to moving there to find a job. What do you do with an art degree? He is a real foodie and loves to cook and seems a natural. You know, tastes something and says it needs ... whatever.
Lilah - are you going to Vegas this year? Not me - not really my kind of thing, though I am glad to have gone and met you and Patty last year.
-
Gilly -- I probably can't go this year... I've got a LOT of work and deadlines between now and end of the year and the only way I'll go is if I am certain I can spare the time (which, if at all, won't be till the last minute).
-
Sending loving hugs to you, Jenn. I lack the talent to put my feelings into words.....Just know that I care about you.
-
Jenn -- we all love you and are thinking of you and sending you strength and love.
-
Jenn - saw you posted elsewhere. Good to see that, but sorry that things are not going so well. We think of you every day.
-
XOXOXOXOXOXO, Jenn.
Patty

Hugs Jenn!
-

Hey Jenn is there anything we can send to you or do for you? Besides keep sending you our love and lots of strength?
-
Cyber Hugs to you jenn.
-
Thinking of you today Jenn and hope you're feeling good.
-
Hi!
I just jumped on a little while ago. Thank you for the support. I am getting very weak, pretty much stuck in the bed except for the bathroom and thats even starting to get hard but I'm ot ready to give up my sit down shower yet
.
-
You keep fighting Jenn. And let us know if you need anything.
Do you have fun things to do in bed? (I'm a big player of mindless games, myself...) Hope you're listening to some music or watching some TV...
Hugs!
-
Good to hear from you, Jenn. Lilah's post sent me thinking. You two have always been the movie goers....have you watched any good DVDs lately? I always enjoy listening to your reviews. Hope your area is high and dry, jenn. So much rain on the gulf coast this past week.
-
I saw and enjoyed Men in Black III (surprisingly touching at the end) and was amazed by the special effects in Snow White and the Huntsman.
I hope you're getting to watch DVDs Jenn!
-
Good to hear from you Jenn. Don't give up that shower!
Patty
-
I'm thinking about you Jenn! What was touching about Men in Black III, Lilah? I love those guys .... but touched by them?
Patty
-
Did you see it Patty? (I don't want to give it away if you haven't -- if you HAVE seen it PM me and I'll tell you ... so we can see why I thought it was touching and you didn't, if you did see it; if you didn't, see it and we'll talk!
-
Lilah...I haven't seen it yet. So if it totally gives away the ending, I better wait to see it and get "touched" myself. HA! Happy weekend everyone!
Patty
-
Patty -- yes I think it might -- and I'm sorry I said anything! Go see it, though, it's the usual fun that's for sure!
-
I haven't made to the movies, or watched any DVD's. I have watched a lot of cooking shows, making me wish I could stand to cook, but it lets me dream.

Hi Jenn - I haven't been to the movies for ages either. I've been watching Euro 2012 and now Wimbledon.
I'm sorry you aren't able to cook - hope your family is doing a good job and making things you like.
-
Hey Jenn! I've been thinking of you. Good to hear from you! Eh I haven't seen many movies lately either. I did watch some of Wimbledon today though. I love it. I wish I had more time.
How are you feeling Jenn?
-
Oh, those damn cooking shows! I love them. BUT they make me HUNGRY! I am also amazed by how much salt they add to everything. I like watching Sandra Dee....she uses everyday ingredients and ALWAYS has a cocktail with her meals....
Keeping all of you in my prayers.
-
Waving hello to you, Jenn. Haven't seen you around lately and been thinking about you. So if your reading...sending hugs and warm thoughts.
-
Me too! Miss hearing from you...

Me three.. hope you are all doing well. We had a little scare a week ago with mom, my sister was home from NE and we went out for a few house hours, mom seemed fine when we left but when we came back we knocked on the door (she always has it locked) and she is usually there right away. I knew something wasnt right so I used my key and I didnt see her, I peek around the corner into the kitchen and she was passed out on the floor in the kitchen. I screamed her name and ran to her and she didnt wake up. What seemed like forever I finally got her awake and had my sister and daughter call the ambulance and my husband. I was able to get her to sit up (didnt want to move her too much) the weird thing was she didnt have a shirt or her bra on?? I got a shirt on her before the ambulance came so that she wouldnt be embarrassed. Her speech was a little slurred but still understandable. Medic's finally got there and checked all her vitals and all was good. She refused the hospital so they could not take her sence all vitals were stable. So we have no Idea what happened and as luck has it her dr. is out of the country for vacation. He has someone covering for him but didnt see the sence on bringing her sence he knew nothing about her health and histroy. She has seem good ever sence. Oh and here is a real scarry part too. at some point when we were out she took her car to a friends house to deliver a dessert (he lost his wife) and at some point she hit something and got a flat tire and some kind man changed it for her. But that is all she remembers. No real details.
Of course I'm always worried about her but now even more because we have no ryhme or reason why this happend and she has been fine ever sence.
I'm getting ready to go on a 3 week vacation to our little beach house and cant wait to get there. We leave in aug but at the same time scared to leave her alone for that long. (she dosent like the beach/sand/sun) I had asked her to go but I knew the answer. At least its only a 3 hour drive from where we will be if she should need us. My fear is what if this happens again and no one is there to help her. I have no one around to check on her. Errrr It makes me nervous just thinking about it.
Well I'm beginning to ramble so I will sign off for now. I hope that you all are enjoying your summer and Hugs to you all

Penny -- did the medics check your mom to see if she had signs of a stroke? Slurred speech and passed out -- sounds like a mild stroke to me (though I'm not a doctor). Definitely you should make an appointment to have her checked out by your family doctor when he's back from vacation. I'm glad she is doing better!
-
Hi Lilah,
They told me all her vitals were fine. I thought the same thing.Thank goodness I turned around and looked when they started to take her vitals they were taking her BP on her left arm and she even has a medi bracelett stating that she can have blood or BP taken from her left arm due to her mx. I think I actually screamed STOP>> (lol) I cant believe they didnt check her braclette. I was so busy giving the other medics her medical and medicine info that I wasnt wathching them with her. Her dr comes back 7/24/12 so I will be making her a appointment then. I was over there last night and she is doing just fine and no signs of anything being wrong. Thanks for the responce. Hope all is well
Penny
