DAY 9 June 9th
The Lord will set me free and rescue me because He loves me. Prayer: Gracious Father, I will thank You each day for Your merciful goodness to me. With Your help I will ever praise Your kindness in my trouble. Please assist me now as I faithfully follow Christ, my Savior, and call upon the friendship and intercession of Saint Francis of Assisi, by granting my petition (mention your request). Amen.
Your offering today: In gratitude, be good to others today. Conclude with the Prayer for Peace (top of page) -
re: nancy and family. notified everyone on my list that I know that nows Nancy.
Praying that Nancy's MOM does well, she said the doc said it was rare, but I used to teach it to paramedic students. Approximately,< 1% get the care that her Mom got. AND that's most likely going to happen in Seattle. They have the highest citizen CPR training. Doc on scene with<2 minute EMS response. Successful defibrillation on scene>transport to hospital>>eval>>then to OR for , I believe she said valve replacement. Means eval "said she was a good risk in a bad situation". That's about as good as it gets in this type of emergency taken to a hospital that has a heart program. Nancy stayed all night in the ICU with her and feels panicked, Normal response, she almost lost MOM. But if anyone can make it this woman can----Mom doesn't remember anything that happened. Normal response---frightening , but normal. Brain is protecting itself from the "situation". Wow this falls under guided for me, all factors in the right place at the right time with a strong person whose underlying health is strong enough to of taken this all. God bless them all and give them strength

Theresa today is the day you have worked for so long, you and your partner Skip. So happy that your Priest is excited. It's special for them too. This novena to St. Francis has been so special too. It was my first and I was amazed at our call to action, then to forgive. Tomorrows call to action is the easiest "be good to others today".
Your welcome re: getting the novena organized, but it was easy in the sense of the meaning that this is a rare occurrence. One, that we have all our wonderful family here. Two, I believe there is a special blessing on all of us being involved in your Profession.
I hope for you both, that your families come together in celebration, and that the worries of your past with the "KIDS" are dissolved, through the blessings of tomorrow. May God , Christ, Mary, Joseph, ST. Francis, and the Holy Court of Heaven shine upon you all the days of your life. Pax et Bonum and Namaste ----Love Sheila

No answers yet for Ali but I think we do have the anxiety under control. I cant remember if I posted this I apologize if I have already.. she did have to finish up the school year early about 3 weeks due to anxiety attack and medical issues. The school was wonderful thank the good Lord and all yur prayers. They closed out her grades and excused her from finals and told her they were praying she would feel better and were looking forward to her return next year. Feel really blessed they were so supportive.

God Bless you today, Nancy Now and Theresa.
Have a blessed Weekend!

Folks. Nancy's Mom is still in the ICU on a respirator with endotracheal tube in place. Lungs are not ready yet for her to be on her own. She had the Aortic valve replaced. She awakes periodically, and tries to ask what happened. Not remembering things at this point is very frightening, but the mind protects itself this way. It doesn't make it any easier on family b/c family does remember. Mom's not out of the woods yet. She has been through an insult that is about as rough as it gets. Nancy asks for our prayers for her mom and the family. Sends her thanks and love to everyone. sassy

Thank you for the Novena. Do we start another one now? I am still racked with anxiety (although I do have some periods of time when I am more accepting), and saying the prayers with all of you helps bring me some peace. I am afraid I have caused my mother to be terribly concerned, and she has offered me money to help me get by these next few months. She could not even talk to me because I think she was going to break down. She just told me not to cry and then said she had to hang up. If I end up killing my mother over stress from all I'm going through I just couldn't bear it. I must be stronger so that she is not so worried.
So anyway . . . thank you, may I have another?

First, my prayers this evening for Nancy and Dunes.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you.
May He look upon you with kindness and give you His peace.
May Almighty God bless you, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Gina, Tink, Sheila and all, thank you for your kind words and prayers. I held up! Did not blubber! But Skip almost lost it a couple of times.It was beautiful. Now the rest of my life I will find my way to Jesus following the footprints of St Francis and St Clare with the Virgin Mary ahead of them. It is daily renewal and lifetime learning. Penance and carrying my cross. God be praised!
When I am at home and not on my Android, I can write more.
Dunes, I'm game for another novena. As Squid used to say, let's noodle it and think of one. -
Everyone I have been on vacation and still am out of town, but finally had time to sit down at the hotel tonight and get on my iPad and catch up. I went back through each days prayer I missed since June 3. Thank you all for praying together for all of us. I think of all of you and how much I want us all to be happy.
Prayers for Nancy's mother, I will check in tomorrow night for an update.
Hugs to all, thank you for a wonderful novena even though I had to play catchup

Frank how are you doing? Praying for you tonight, right now, it's 1:21 am Texas time, can't sleep, pain, restlessness, so I'm praying for you.
Prayers for Nancy's mom too! My dad spent 3 months in ICU after a car wreck. The care is remarkable and so many get to walk back in a few months later and surprise all the wonderful nurses.
Prayers for Texasrose tonight, she was NED but it's back.....

Gina, I hope your prayers put you to sleep so you are not restless and in pain. I just woke up and took some more pills to get myself back to sleep. I will add some manual lymph drainage and prayer and hopefully soon be in lala land.

The prayer of St. Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. -
Beautiful Sagina. Thanks for sharing it.
Here's one I like to sing:

The priest was preoccupied with thoughts of how he was going to ask the
congregation to come up with more money than they were expecting for repairs
to the church building. Therefore, he was annoyed to find that the regular
organist was sick and a substitute had been brought in at the last minute.
The substitute wanted to know what to play.
"Here's a copy of the service," he said impatiently. "But, you'll have to
think of something to play after I make the announcement about the
finances."
During the service, the priest paused and said, "Brothers and Sisters, we
are in great difficulty; the roof repairs cost twice as much as we expected
and we need $4,000 more. Any of you who can pledge $100 or more, please
stand up."
At that moment, the substitute organist played "The Star Spangled Banner."
And that is how the substitute became the regular organist!Sisters I will post later about progress in my latest regime - going well.
take care sisters

Hi Frank! So GOOD to hear from you. Funny story!
Dunesleeper~ That is one of the songs I grew up with! Love it too. Our church organist picked the last round of hymnals and so many songs we loved are gone now. We (the other choirs) are trying to raise the money to buy a license to have printed sheets of lyrics in the pews.

Frank excellent news, excellent. Faith and an excellent medical team.

Frank that is a funny story!!!! I have sung in church choir since I was 11 so I appreciate the humor!
Dune, wow that took me back to my childhood in the 70s - I played guitar and flute in folk mass as a kid back in those days and through the 80s. I like the music but I'm so glad we moved back to traditional hymns and Latin and renaissance polyphany and Gregorian Chant. My church choir director had published the Simple English Propers that is available for all English speaking countries in the world - we were his guinea pig church and so we have been singing those for years before they were made available. I love the beauty of the traditional music and English chant and Latin - probably b/c I grew up post Vatican 2. You miss what you never had I reckon. My mother hates it, she wants the folk mass back and I was like oh God help us all NO!!!! LOL.....to each his own ;-)
