Hi Girls,

I hope this finds you all well or on the way to wellness.  I thought I'd post a few things about how the boys and I are doing since Dave died last September.  Crazy us-we decided to get another dog, but it turned out to be the best thing we ever did.  Her name is Molly, and we were told she was a half golden/half labrador, but I think due to the curly tail that she has some German shepherd in her.  She was almost 2 when I got her in December from a rescue (I will never go anywhere else in the future for a dog), and she is such an awesome dog.  She is beautiful and full of love and joy, and the boys and I just love her.  We love Utah too (our Corgi), but, well, if you know Corgis, you know they aren't the most kid-friendly dog.  So, Molly really rounds us out and has brought a lot of joy to our lives.  The kids, dogs and I hang out a lot, watch goofy movies and really just enjoy our time together.  This tragedy has just brought love to a whole new level.  I thought I loved my kids before, but now it's so much more intense.  Well, I just wanted to say that I love all of you, and I hope that you enjoy the pictures if I'm able to post them (smile).Andrew and Mollie

SpunkyGirl -when you copied the URL in the box, did you also go down to the "Dimensions" boxes and click there?

You don't have to put anything in....usually the numbers will pop up by themselves when you click there.

Then, when they do, you can click on "Insert"...

I was just thinking about you yesterday, wondering how you've been doing.

Join the Crazy Club. Crazy me, I adopted TWO 6-month old kittens just after Christmas 2010. When I was diagnosed in 2008, I worried about outliving the three (!) cats I already had. My new kits came from a rescue, too, as did the other three. I'm so pleased that you adopted a rescue/shelter dog. The need is so great.

It sounds like you're in a really terrific place, and I couldn't be happier for you! You and the boys deserve this time of joy.

Nothing like a goober dog in the house.  Ours is a black lab mixed with some kind of ding dong.  Really he makes us laugh all the time with his antics.  It is amazing how such great things spring from the worst days.

I'm on for a rendezvous point somewhere.  We are heading to Myrtle Beach for a weekend getaway, but I'll IM when we get back with some available dates.

I am so positive about getting dogs that need a home and are mature enough to have their personality established. It's been probably 30 yrs since I got a dog that as not in need of a home and all but 1 has been an adult. The puppy I took because if I hadn't it was literally being carried to the Sound to drown it. Most haven't come from shelters either and most I got their reg. papers with them. I got a greyhound directly off the track about 3 hrs after she ran her last race. Now I have a Pembroke Corgi and while I love her I'd never let her around children. In a way I didn't have a lot of choice with getting her. My Gordon was getting quite old - 12 - and I been talking about getting another dog. Hubby was out on the Rez working many miles from any house when saw a black spot in a snow bank so he stopped to see what it was - she came running and jumped in the truck so home she came and here she stays. Shortly after I was DX'd Hubby lost his 'Little Girl' to cancer. The day before surgery 'something' told me to stop at the Shelter and there was what he was looking for - a Black & Tan Coon Hound. So next day when I was in my room after surgery I sent him and Son of to the Shelter to see her and he got her - she had to stay overnnight to be spayed. He ran into the man who had taken her there and found out that she had been taken there because she doesn't like to hunt which is fine - all Hubby wants is a 'buddy' and lap dog (yes this big hound lays in his lap everynight in the recliner - don't know how they both fit but they do LOL).

Onesthat have needed rescueing seem to know how lucky they are when they find a home and give so much to us.

Bobbie, always good to hear from you and hear how the boys are doing.  I love seeing the pics of you and the boys (and dogs) on facebook.  Looks like that's the only place I can see them unless you email Mary the pics, eh?  LOL

    Love you bunches!
