true....Joanne and I have asked for commitments but altho some are happy about the 19th, some are either not sure or can't make it. I guess it's the majority that wins. Some seem to want a venue before they commit. It's a difficult thing to organize it seems.
-
The 19th of August if good for me. I don't go away until the 21st.
-
I just did a tally from the previous thread and this one. It might explain why there is trouble making a decision.
Where we are:Toronto 4
North 4
West 3
East 4
Ottawa 1
2 have said no to Aug 18/19 and one has said no to Aug 11/12 and several have expressed a preference for Aug 18/19. I am one of the nos for Aug 18/19 and that is tentative so if people choose that, it's fine with me.
If I may make a suggestion from this - it would be to have it one day the weekend of Aug 18/19 and to have it somewhere near the 401 in Toronto. Restaurant choice would be up to those who live nearer. My feelings won't be hurt by any other suggestions but it seems to me this would accommodate the most people.
What do you think?
PS - this was a ploy to pretend I was busy and avoid mowing my lawn.
-
Ok let's say August 19th - everyone good? And I say go for Whitby - cuter can you give us a list please?

I am a bit east of TO.
-
Joanne that sounds reasonable...good to make a decision!
lassie...mow the lawn?? Didn't you get all the rain we got? Ours is way too wet to cut. It rained off and on all day here and even after dinner in spite of the sun shining. Crazy day!!
-
I should be OK for the 19th. I am in Mississauga but no hassle to drive east. My boys are both in summer football and Sundays is game day so that would be the only ???
-
I pulled this from where it was lost in the other thread:
There are a number of restaraunts at the Thickson Road 401 exit. Just throwing out an easy location. There are also other places too but that particular location has:
Baton Rouge, Milestones, Jack Astors, Mongolian Grill, Desaim Thai, Dennys, Wild Wing, Boston Pizza, Shoeless Joes, Tatemono Sushi, Trinity Irish Pub, and Cafe Demetre.
Within 5 more minutes by car there is Greek, a fabulous Chop House, etc. etc.
-
I vote for Milestones on Sunday, August 19......401/Thickson area
-
hrf it was my fave of the bunch but didn't want to push for it. *grin*
I will second milestones!
-
