-
I was 38 - I will celebrate my 40th this year x
-
I was 47 at DX, now 48. The cancer must have been there for quite a while, but ILC is sneaky, and I had not been getting mammos, since the Euro-recommendation is to start at 50. Besides, I was too busy taking care of everybody else. No more of that.
-
I was 42, same age as my mother who was diagnosed 34 years ago.....
-
49, BS said I was very lucky it was found so early as ILC is a tricky litttle buger. Didn't show on mammogram, hard see on US, finally diagnosed with biopsy.
-
I was 53 - diagnosed on December 8/11 -- just turned 54 on 5/18 ... looking forward to many more birthdays

44 -- Diagnosed in April 2012
-
I was 58 when I began this journey....unfortunately for me I choose the wrong Breast Doctor...so after I fired her......I went to one that was really on things....it took a LONG time to become emotionally healed.
-
I am 36 and got my diagnosis Thursday! 8mm IDC in right breasted.
-
I am 36 and was just diagnosed Thursday...5/31/12.
-
Diagnosed at 39 after first mammo, even though I had pain in both breasts for a number of years, but -naively - wasn't worried about, as I had always beem told that "breast cancer doesn't hurt, and you are too young to get it anyway".... I should have listened to my body!!!
No family history of any type of cancer, never been overweight, and never took birth-control pills or had IVF. Breast-fed my children for about 8 months (each). Suffered a miscarriage 6 month prior to diagnosis, which I believe may have either triggered or at least fast-tracked the growth of the tumor I had. -
One month after my 52nd birthday. I hope to see many more birthdays!
-
I am 34. Was diagnosed last month....
-
I was 30 dx with stg.IIb, 31 with stg.IV
I´m 32 now.
-
I was 53, diagnosed with Stage II, and am now 54. It has been an interesting year, to say the least.
-
I was 47, Oct 2010.
-
I am 36 diagnosed last week
-
I was 46 when I went to urgent care about a cyst and mentioned the issues I was having with my one nipple due to chapping and soreness. The nurse was concerned and referred me to a Breast Specialist who said it could just be a skin condition but that it should be biopsied just in case. It turned out to be cancer - Paget's. The mammogram (my first ever) and ultrasound showed nothing inside. The breast surgeon I was sent to wanted an MRI done since Paget's usually is associated with cancer inside the breast. The MRI showed a small amount of DCIS.
I ended up opting for a mastectomy of that breast and the pathology turned up one tiny spot of grade 3 IDC that was HER2+. So, now I am 47 and looking at 6 sessions of chemo and a full year of Herceptin when all I was expecting is surgery and get back to my life.
I am pretty sure the nipple skin issues showed up over a year ago at the age of 45. No one has said how long the DCIS might have been there but I doubt that the agressive type IDC was there for very long before the surgery.
-
2 months before my 35th birthday. Finished chemo end of June, lumpectomy done end of July - it's been a whirlwind!
-
I was 51 and was diagnosed exactly one year from my mammogram report that said "normal" But ILC is hard to detect and I had dense breasts to boot so I was lucky I found it myself and took action. I am going to celebrate my 54th B'day in a few months...
-
I was 55 at diagnosis and I'm so thankful that I kept that yearly mammo appt.
