I agree - I don't really feel I have to DO anything different. It just looks a bit different - more modern somehow.

I'm good with it too. Lots of good updates made after the launch.

I've also gotten used to it somewhat (had no other choice).  But like susieq58 I find I only post on my favorites and rarely go to the active topics.  I'm certain others do, so hopefully newbies are covered.

I am also 'used to it' and can find my way around. And, of course, this is a free (and wonderful) service so the people who run it can do things whatever way they want, but......I do find it less user friendly (both mechanically and in the lay out), and like, patoo and susie, tend to stick to my favorite topics. Too much clicking, scrolling, back clicking, trying to get back to the top etc. etc. for me. I run out of time and patience. Frown

I'm not a fan of the change to the view when I hit all topics, which is what i usually do.  I see less at a glance and have to scroll more.  It seemed more organized previously.

I am really sad to hear on the "post your glitches" thread that they no longer care about indiviudals' glitch-fix requests and are basically done. Apparently the individuals posting (that they requested we do) don't matter at this point or they are too overwhelmed to fix everything that seems to have gone wrong in the remake. But perhaps numbers will help like the number of us that repeat requests -since they no longer care about someone saying it once for the rest of us.

And I too appreciate this board, but it has seemed to become user  unfriendly and uncaring.

Moderators, Glad you changed your comment there - it did cause some feelings of uncaring - and your new comment is much better.

I've been trying to adjust to this new format, but instead, I find that I am discouraged in coming here at all.  In the past I've zipped in, scanned my favs, checked on "active" in the event that I could help someone else, so someone's thought of one of my own questions. Having the "active" topics posted also motivated me to consider a new topic or thread that I would not have otherwise visited.  All went quickly.  Now, it's bulkier to do any of that, so if I come at all, I come to my one or two main threads and leave.  It simply takes too long and is less convenient.  Even with whatever changes have recently been made.

kschreve - me too - a couple of minutes and I'm gone - which might be healthy for me as it's time to move on.

I thinks saying the new format is a "disaster" is pretty much a bit dramatic. I get that there were/are glitches to be worked out, and am very appreciative for the efforts being made to fix them.

For some who struggle/push back with change and transition, I can understand the resistance/disappointment/frustration and even anger.

But no, I wouldnt call it a disaster. I would call it different.

I have gotten used to it and I am fine with it.

HATE THE NEW FORMAT - PLEASE GO BACK TO OLD FOMAT

Would really appreciate it if you would go back to old format. This is a terrible, tedious change.

    Scareds,

The Mods have already told us that going back to old format isn't an option. Just gonna have to get used to the new one and make the necessary adjustments

As a former IT specialist, I know that there is no going back to the old format.  It`s just the way upgrades work.  The new format is here to stay.

Are you talking about getting into a forum or selecting a thread once there? If you click on jump to a forum, select, and click go, it takes about 5 seconds to get to a forum.

I think this new format is great - Tuesday morning, almost 9 am.

Again, takes way way too long to load. Beachball spins and spins.

"Beachball" - I had never heard it called that way. :-) I have heard it referred to as the "blue circle of death" - especially when it keeps you waiting.

I am relieved to know that I am not the only one spinning. I thought it was maybe my computer.
