IDC - Triple Negative - Is treatment working?

Hello,

I was diagnosed about a month and a half ago with IDC - Triple Negative.  I am 40 years old.  I started chemo and have finish 3 rounds, with 5 more to go on an agressive 2 week cycle.  My question is that my breast lumps were large and prominent (I found them) in my left breast 10 and 10:30. Now since I have started chemo I can no longer feel the lumps.  I doubt it's because they are "gone" but interested in opionions on did they go further down into the breast or have the diminshed?  I know this isn't a "scientific" question that can be answered without knowing me but has anyone else ever had this experience?

    My lump was visibly poking out. After 4 dd A/C , it seems like it is gone......

    The same with me my two lumps were very visable and could feel on surface.  After 3 a/c I can't.  Don't know if it's a good sign or if it's just normal.  Don't want to be too optimistic or too pessimistic.  I have one a/c this week then start taxol.

    I am also triple negative and you will get much more information logging into triple negative breast cancer organization as all the users are TNBC patients.

    grant0211 - That is a very good sign.  The "good" thing about triple negative is that it is usually very responsive to chemo.  Mine disappeared very quickly too.  When I had my BMX that was no evidence of disease in the breast or the lymph nodes that were removed (and I did have some lymph node involvement according to the petscan that I had before I started treatments).  So I would say that is very good news!  Not everyone get a complete pathological response.  That means that the chemo is doing it's job and kicking the cancer's a*&!!  Good luck as you continue on your journey!
