need some hope

i have just been dx with reacurrance in my lung spine and liver. need to know if there are suvivors out ther that have been through this. i was just dx 3 weeks ago and already feeling it in my breathing. i start chemo on the 29th, but am also looking for clin trial. can someone out there give me some good news feel so lost and scared!

    I was dx out of the gate Stage IV TNBC with mets to Liver and Lungs in 2008.  By Oct 09 my scans came back as No Evidence of Disease, after Abraxane, AC "the red devil", surgery, radiation and then Abraxane again for the Hell of it. 

    I have been on a Chemo Holiday (no treatment) since Oct 2009, I go every 3 months for scans my doctors are still shaking their head they didn't think the break would be this long. 

    Cancer is at bay but I am also fighting an Autoimmune Disorder called Sjogren's that can't be cured, so I get a lot of scares about wether the cancer is back becasuse of all the issues the Sjogren's is causing. 

     Now I am holding my breath next scan is first of June.

    Lucky you that they have caught it!!  When my reoccurrance came back in my lungs a year after treatment, PA treated me for bronchitis and pneumonia before draining the fluid in my lung and finding the cancer cells. PET scan showed cancer in my lymph's in upper chest and mets in 4 bone spots including spine.  That was in February 2011 and I have been on chemos ever since with 2 clean pet scans but last one again found cancer in lung fluid.  Oncologist pretty much says i need to stay on chemo to stay alive, but I am getting tired of the side affects!  Is this treatable yes!  Good luck and may you be one who has a long affair with NED!
