My birthday is July 16th. I always felt cheated as a kid for not getting a class party! Back in those when it was your birthday, your Mom always made cupcakes or cake for the whole class and everyone had a nice break. LOL...I never got one being a summer baby!

mine is the 1st week of june. when I was still in school my mom would invite a load of kids for my party at my house. my brother and sister are twins so there was double the kids for that day.

Wow - Today I am 60! Amazing!
I feel like I'm twenty something at most as I have always had a child spirit.
I'm finding it's very nice to share my birthday here. I hope others will too. Birthdays are to be treasured!

Hi, justmejanis, my birthday is June 11, and I felt the same way you did growing up. I remember how surprised I was when one of my friends said she hated spending her birthday *at school!* But anyway, when I was a senior, my mom made two big cakes for all of the seniors who had summer birthdays (my entire graduating class was 90 students, btw - so that was doable), and put everyone's name and birthday on the cakes.
I looked at the calendar and both my birthday and 30th wedding anniversary (5/29) are coming at good times during my chemo schedule, so I plan to celebrate both as much as I can. (I have had plans for something really special to celebrate the anniversary - but they're on hold until I can fly to Vegas. ;-) ).

Justmejanice, I know how you feel, my birthday it July 19 and I never had a school party. Usually had a good birthday as a child, we would go to the park & cook out. Then we would have watermelon for desert. Yummy
